The Best Yet!,

I love this CD. Every song on it is easy to sing to and brings a smile. For those nay sayers who put down Neal and his sentimental ways give this CD a listen. With the right exposure the most hesitant of country listenrs will be wooed over with great songs, "Lipstick on the Radio, Strongest Man in the World and Life of the Party." It's really a shame that he doesn't get more air time. He's great. I recommend this CD to anyone who loves life, love and good times.

+1/2 A worthy addition to the modern Nashville sound,

This is one of those immaculate, perfectly crafted modern Nashville albums that makes you shake your head and marvel at how the corniest formulas and cheesiest production can still pull you in, even when you can't stand the style... To his credit, McCoy's rich, resonant vocals are a big part of the success... From the opening notes, it's clear he's matured as a singer and grown into his voice. A couple of these songs are just too awful for even him to pull it off (notably the super-sappy power ballads, "Only You" and "Completely") but others may provoke an unwilling smile, such as the clever, classic "That's Not Her," and the old-fashioned "Life Of The Party." Nothing earthshaking, but still an album that shows him a worthy heir to the '70s countrypolitan tradition.

Sometimes life gets real heavy. When it gets like that I pop in this CD, turn up the player and start singing along. There is just the right mix of songs, sentimental, fast, slow, just plain ol' happy. I enjoy every song on this CD...but Lipstick on the Radio and Strongest Man in the World are my favorites. You know, they say if you're feel blah, or blue, or restless you should get up and move. With Neal's CD playing you'll have plenty to dance to! Thanks Neal for the smile in my spirit when I listen to this.

Neal's done it again. This is a great album. I Was and Girls of Summer are the best songs. The hole album was great. I think people would enjoy this album. It has a show tune, a couple of fast songs and some slow songs. It's great.

I really wanted to enjoy this cd-but I don't. Not one song bears repeated listening.

Ok.....let's see. What are the ingredients that make up a Neal McCoy album? #1) The absense of any country sound. #2) Soft-Rock sounds> #3) One or two "Shake" songs. #4) That stupid smile of his.Look, if you want a good country album, pick up MARK CHESNUTT'S "I DON'T WANT TO MISS A THING" (read my review). No new ground is covered on "LIFE OF THE PARTY"It's ear-candy, just like the last McCoy album. Don't get me wrong, I loved Neal's first 4 CDs!!!! He is on a downhill grade, and milking his fans for all they got!!!!!!!!!!!
