Absolutely Stunning, June 6, 2004
This review is from: Life of Party (Audio CD)
The fabulous Planet Smashers come back to us with yet another cd. Does it fall short of the finish line? Does it fail even before its started? Absolutely Not!
Pop in the cd and you immediately get the album's title track playing at you "Life of the Party". What a starting song it is! Ear catching horn lines, head shattering driving guitar there is nothing that can stop this amazing track. Moving onto later tracks the cd does not disappoint.
There's some brilliantly conceived enjoyable tracks such as "Surfin in Tofino" and "Super Orgy Porno Party" that you just can't help but move an appendage to, whether it be your arm, foot, or elsewhere.
The Planet Smashers have - I'm happy to say - not strayed from their style as many bands do with later albums. They've kept the same old formula and it delivers a heart stoppingly good array of songs. The same sort of lyrics, the same sort of singing, the same sort of music but does that really matter? Its fantastic, thats all that matters, you'd be an idiot not to buy this.

Sexy ska?, May 8, 2007
This review is from: Life of Party (Audio CD)
Okay, i dont know if anybody has ever coined the term- but im gonna do it now. This stuff is SEXY. This is actually one of the best 3rd wave ska bands i have ever heard- they're very smooth and they know how to use their horn section. They also dont cash in on the whole "punk-ska" thing that everybody is trying to do. I love it! If you're a ska fan- you'll LOVE the Planet Smashers.

Totally awsome and worth every penny. Planet Smashers may be unknown but their use of Saxophone and Bass and Trumpets really Kick Butt. Their songs are awsome especially the ones without words.
