This is an amazing album however to me it isn't The Velcro Pygmies. The record is well produced, has plenty of hooks to sink your teeth into, and well crafted songwriting, but it made me think Black Crowes instead of "Larger Than Life Rock." If I wasn't such an avid Pygmie fan (been seeing them since I started college in 1999) I would love this record, but after experiencing the Pygmies live this album doesn't capture them. The packaging is 100% top flight and the DVD kicks major butt. It's everything I hoped for except it wasn't over the top like the Pygmies really are. My advice to anyone that is considering purchasing this CD: After listening to it, go and see the band live. Then you will truly understand where this review is coming from. The Pygmies are the last great hope. They have the ability to save rock n roll.

I've been following these guys for 6 years ... their music is un-un-unbelievable. This CD is a great way to start your day off or to get ready for a night on the town. It's just old fashioned rock-n-roll. This is definitely a CD you won't find at a garage sale or flea market in 5 years ... it's too good to let go!

...these guys are the absolute Best! And I believe this album proves it. This is a great cd to pop in when you are in the mood to Rock out and or Have a good time. And if you are having a bad day, it's even better to listen to because it will completely lift your spirits! The drumer is mind blowing (especially live!) the guitarist is so amazingly talented (Eddie Van Who?) the bassist lays down such strong and groove worthy rhythm and last but certainly NOT least is the Vocalist who is extremely gifted with what he can do on that stage and to an audience. He has a magical and captivating voice!Buy this cd and you will NOT be let down!!!!!!
