5.0 out of 5 stars Great Food for Thought, December 11, 2007
Paulo Coelho can do no wrong in my book. This collection of thoughts from his books and other writings summarizes his beliefs on life, love, destiny etc. It provides the reader with food for thought and reminds us of the things we know about life somewhere in the back of our heads but tend to forget we know as life happens.
If you're not careful you can read this entire book in less than an hour, but if you do you'd have missed the point. I read, reflect and where appropriate, I write.
Hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

4.0 out of 5 stars Life, November 10, 2007
This book has positive themes on life. For instance, dreams
nourish the soul. As such, the good fight is done in affirming
the authenticity of our dreams. The author asks that we
open our hearts to follow dreams to their ultimate fruition.
The author asks that we choose one path rather than scattering
our efforts over the many.

This in itself is good advice. The pilgrimage itself teaches
the best way to actualize our dreams. From a practical standpoint,
human beings search for dreams but toil to achieve them. Virtue is similar to courage for those who seek the spiritual path.
Our energy and knowledge are attributed to G-d.

The book is an excellent rendition for relating the spiritual realm
to the practical world we live in.

5.0 out of 5 stars Simple wisdom, December 22, 2008

This is a superb collection of quotes from various Paulo Coelho's books that draws upon his wisdom. The book is broken down into sections that explore a theme for inspirational reading. This is the perfect companion for quite moments or those noisy moments because it brings peace of mind. This book is like a brain springboard, a cerebral trampoline, if you will, where the mind expands into mental gymnastics based on the simple treasures provided by the words of Mr.Coehlo. This is something everyone should read,it has something for everyone and something that most people will enjoy. This is a great gift book because it is so easy to read and enjoyable.

5.0 out of 5 stars getting an Idea who Paolo Coelho is, January 16, 2008
I bought this book for my 29 year old brother who never reads. I thought he might like Paolo's ideas and philosophy, but would never be able to actually read one of his books. This one is perfect. I buy quite a lot in Germany and have also bought one of Paolo's CD's of his thoughts and short stories.
Well, my brother loved the gift, and thought he's give it a try

4.0 out of 5 stars Meditative quotes, April 25, 2010
I am a great fan of Coelho's works and to have such a beautiful book with quotations from all his published works is a real treasure. It not only prompts you to remember the passages from his books, but the quotes are good to reflect on or meditate on. His language is simple but thought provoking. What more could you want?

5.0 out of 5 stars A Great Companion, September 6, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
A selection of some of the more powerful and poingient quotes from Paulo Coelho's works. Broken into 8 sections - The Dream, The Path, Love, Chance, The Journey, Destiny, The Good Fight and The Mystery - Life allows the reader to excerpt some of the key elements of Coelho's work, and get a flavor for his philosophy and world view.

While some may find this little book a substitute for reading Coelho's works, it is really very much a suppliment to them. Standing alone, this collection is reasonably powerful and insightful. When married to Coehlo's full collection and a background of the full texts, it serves to remind and bring alive for the reader the depth and power of the original books in their unabridged states.

A must have for any Coelho fan - and a great companion for meditation and reflection.
