4.0 out of 5 stars What I Can Say ?
Millencolin is AMAZING the music is catchy, some ska riffs make this record is a pop-ska-skate-punk-rock !!!! As you can see is a good record, my favs are Story Of My Life, Killercrush, Olympic and Bullion, is my fav record now...

Why 4 stars ? Because is too short !

1.0 out of 5 stars and you think sum 41 is bad?
this is no different. i find these songs to be redundant and overly poppy. they are not original and this has the weakest lyrics i have ever been exposed to. if i prayed i would remember you in my prayers if you enjoy this stuff.

5.0 out of 5 stars Millencolin- "Life On A Plate", April 7, 2000

Okay, so your interested in buying this cd? If you are, you have to buy it. Millencolin is one of my favorite bands, and this is some of their best work. The songs that are especially good on this cd are track #1 called "Bullion," and track #11 called "Softworld." Don't get me wrong, the whole cd is good, I mean, Millencolin does not write bad songs it's just that some songs are better then others. Well, I hope you buy it, and for those of you that aren't real familiar with punk, I will recommend some other bands to get you started. They are: Descendents, Good Riddance, Jughead's Revenge, Strung Out, and Bigwig. Well, I hope my recommendations help you. Bye

5.0 out of 5 stars One of those albums that changed my view of music forever!, July 3, 2003

If I were going to be trapped on an island and could only take 3 things with me it would be Food, Water, and Millencolin's Life on a Plate. Yeah I'd need batteries and a CD player, but that's beside the point. No matter what album Millencolin does it's genius to say the least but nothing beats Life on a plate. Not that there's anything wrong with that, I mean asking Millencolin to make another Life on a plate is like asking Stephen Spielberg to make another E.T. No matter how many times I listen to this album I can't get tried of it. Every song is just so good and catchy. It's just one of those albums that you can sing along with the whole way threw. Every song from Bullion all the way threw Airhead is just so genius, I just can't even put it in words how great this album is. This is one of those albums that changed my view of music forever, and if you don't like it then you suck!

5.0 out of 5 stars You can't get much better than this., February 14, 2003
This review is from: Life on a Plate (Audio CD)
In the realm of pop-punk, this is one of the most landmark albums out there. This album was out before anyone ever heard of Sum41, so you can't compare anything there. This album was out before Blink182 hit it big with their song "Dammit." This album introduced America to Millencolin, four Swedish skate-punks with a love for all things punk rock in the mid 1990's, and they immediately placed themselves among the already established greats (those greats primarily on Epitaph records). The punk rock is fast and melodic and beautifully harmonized, the ska is quick, jumpy, and keeps you moving. Personal note, the ska songs off of this album were the first ones without horns that I could really enjoy. And plus, Nikola's voice is so strange you can't help but love it. It's THE key thing in this band that really sets them apart. To be honest, the first time I heard them I thought he had cerebral paulsey (<--spelling error) or something. ("hmph, well that's pretty p.c.!" I said to myself). But, no. He's a Yugoslav, indeed a Swede. You can't say you're a fan of melodic and harmonic punk rock if you haven't ever listened to a NoFx album. You can't claim to know very much about ska-punk if you don't have, or at least used to have, the Operation Ivy CD. The same now goes for Millencolin's "Life on a Plate." If you haven't at least heard three or four songs on here, then you probably got exposed to skate punk through Mtv. . . . for shame!

5.0 out of 5 stars solid punk rock, October 9, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Life on a Plate (Audio CD)
I first heard Bullion on Punk-o-rama vol.2 and at once i knew that Millencolin gonna be one of my fave bands. So i picked up their album "Life on a plate". Darn, how can punk rock be so good? It got everything: catchy tunes, killing riffs, undisputable vocals....Lyrics also kick. So if u as myself are a fan of melodic fast softcore(ok pop punk) and u don't own this album (which is just strange) run to your local music store and get it...I mean it's so good Epitaph could even offer money back guarantee!!!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Funky Millencolin sound, January 14, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Life on a Plate (Audio CD)
Pretty much the best CD by the best punk band in the world. Lovely speedy original guitar riffage combined with a super-cool vocalistic style make up good music. That is exactly what this is. You NEED this CD. If you like bands such as NOFX, the Vandals, Guttermouth, Lagwagon etc. then you should like Millencolin. Their songs are very diverse, every song is different but they all rule. The album is very lively as a whole and makes you want to jump around alot while listening to it. Highly recommended.

4.0 out of 5 stars close to perfect cd, December 14, 2002
By
This review is from: Life on a Plate (Audio CD)
When you ignore some of the really dumb reasons why people have chosen not to like this cd like "i can't understand what their saying!" or "i hate all bands from europe, even though i haven't heard any of their stuff" this is a really good cd. I'll admit that I do not really find the lyrics to this CD that amazing or thought provoking, its a great CD with a really uplifting feeling to it at times. The first few tracks are solid, but it seems to deteriorate a little from there, then come back towards the end with more really listenable tracks. Overall, a good CD, essential for any millencolin fan.

4.0 out of 5 stars A Pretty good punk CD, March 14, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Life on a Plate (Audio CD)
I, personally, liked this CD. The first track, however, was amazing, and the remaining tracks could not live up to its legacy. None the less, its a great CD. If you like this sound I highly recommend the band Rabies, who are from St. Louis
