Having seen how my mom only partially filled in my baby book (as well as those of my three siblings) I was determined to find a baby book of a realistic size and length.

After much research I bought "My Life as a Baby" off Amazon. Since the birth of my son in July I have found this book great. The info it asks for is not overly soppy like many other books I looked at - but it is cute and covers all the important milestones.

It also gives plenty of leeway and doesn't tie you down in a hugely specific way like some other books. Looking at my own baby book I can see why mom didn't fill a lot of it in - it goes into such minute detail about some things that really don't seem that important!

A tip to mum's to be out there - myself and my friends have all noticed it is very hard to just remember to go and write in ANY baby book (even one this easy) when the wee one does something notable. It can be easy to forget things. I really think it is worth investing in a baby wall calendar too. I jot things on mine most days and then every couple weeks or so transfer it to the baby book. It really works well - also I think I am able to write more clearly in the baby book.

This is a very simple book and easy to fill in. It has 18 framed pages for pictures with great captions such as Glad Baby, Mad Baby, Big Toothy Grin!, Yum!, Yecch! and more. I really liked the list of firsts. (Smiled, Laughed, Held my head up, Rolled over, Slept through the night, Sat up, and Crawled.) These are the most important firsts that you will rememeber as a parent. I also really like the pages How I Grew. It has the first twelve months, and you write down the weight and length. There's lots more. This is a great gift for the busy mom or the mom who just needs a easy book to fill in about her baby. I bought one for my friend for her second child, and she loved it! I loved it to that I bought two more for my sister-in-laws.

I bought two of them,because my brother and his wife are expecting twins. I flipped through one and it has charming illustrations,adequate room for pics,although it seemed to lack enough space for writing on some pages. Well,that is if you really like to write. For two (very) busy parents it should do just fine..!

I received my first copy of this cute album as a gift when I had my first baby. I had so much fun putting it together that I tracked it down for my second and now for my third. Telling the story from baby's point of view is fun and gets mom thinking about how baby would really feel about all the firsts in his/her life. It is an easy album for moms and dads who want to record all the important events that the first year brings, but who haven't joined the scrapbooking craze quite yet. I love this album and plan to have one for each child.

I just bought this book as a gift for my cousin's baby shower, and I couldn't be more pleased! First of all, the appearance of the book is adorable: it has a brightly-colored, eye-catching outside hardcover with really cute graphics (appropriate for a boy or a girl). Inside, the pages are spiral-bound (hidden by the hardcover), making them easy to turn and even easier to write on. The book is set up as told from the baby's perspective, with chapters such as "The World Around Me When I Was Born," "People and Places I Liked to Visit," and "My First Holidays." Most of the chapters are set up with space for writing on the left-hand page and then a spot for a photo on the right-hand, although there are some double pages of text or facing pictures. The written parts consist of a combination of check-off boxes, fill-in the blanks, and some spaces for longer narratives; it covers all of the most important information in a quick and easy format. The photos spaces provide captions to help the user even further--e.g., opposite pages titled "Glad Baby/Mad Baby" and "Yum!/Yecch!" The entire book uses a bright pastel color scheme, with blue, green, yellow, and purple pages surrounded by fun borders and more of the great graphics. This book is definitely more light-hearted and entertaining than the traditional baby record book, and it is perfect for today's busy, on-the-go mom. Highly recommended!

After much research on Amazon, I found this book. I was looking for a small book to note important dates till my son turns 1 year and this is exactly what I wanted.

This book has space for weight and length of the baby every month till 1 year, 4 X 6 pictures for important occassions, likes and dislikes of the baby, and the hand and foot prints. Drawings and colors are cute, this is good for both girls and boys. I know this will be a small record book about my baby that my friends and relatives can read anytime without feeling bored.

I bought this book for a pregnant friend and ended up keeping it ( and buying her another one).

It is so cute and uses photos to mark each occasion with captions to help with the writing. I wanted a good book for my second child so he wouldn't feel undocumented the way a lot of younger siblings do. This book made it easy to keep track. And it's fun to read through again!

This is a cute book and it will hold most of the memories for my child, however, when I purchased this book I had assumed it would be 8 1/2 by 11 (big enough to hold any papers I would also like to keep with it like her birth certificate) however it is not. Only after I recieved the book did I realize that there is a deminsion area and that it will not hold any 8 1/2 X 11 papers. Buyer beware, if you want to purchase a baby record book to also hold other (keepsake) papers that you might want to add then this is not the book for you.

This book does not look like most journals which tend to be frilly and sentimental. No, this one, like your baby, is just cute and funny and sweet. It has enough space for all the basics~ has room for photos, and overall, is easy to fill out. As a new mom, I have no idea how you could ever find time to fill out one of those big, wordy journals. Seems like so many pages would be left blank, or like you would be scrambling to fill in all the pages (like I had to do with my pregnancy journals) This one is really cute, just short and sweet. I love it and I think baby will too when she grows up.

I simply love this, in this fast paced world it takes an effort to think of what you want to track. This is an excellent book.
