I use this Bible to facilitate two Christian 12-Step recovery meetings in West Texas and highly recommend it to all newcomers. I have found that having a Bible that focuses on the principles of the 12-Step program and tying those principles for living to the Word of God have been very helpful to not only me personally, but also to those who come to the two groups. Thanks such much for such a wonderful tool to learn how to clean up my past, live in the present and look forward to the future as I apply these principles and use the devotionals to my life one day at a time

The Life Recovery Bible is the most important resource for both my 'recovery' and spiritual life. It has all of the resources I need in order to more fully grow as a christian, and to maintain my commitment to sobriety: (12)step devotionals; serenity prayer devotionals; topical devotionals; recovery themes; and in-depth footnotes that focus on explaining scripture from a recovery focus. There is no weak point to this bible.

We use this Bible in our co-dependency support group. It is good for all types of recovery, all types of addictions, alcohol, gambling, food, etc.

My husband & I have been involved in a weekly recovery group and have found this bible to be very insightful and good for all types of recovery. Bible stories are used alongside 12-step themes. It's a Living Bible version which is good for newcomers and the modern language is useful for those in recovery. We don't use this for our study bible because it is paraphrased but we still find it useful and a Godsend. Write us if you have a prayer request or are looking for more insight into God's kingdom. This boible is a must have for those in recovery within the Christian Faith. It skillsfully links the 12 step and christianty and provides daily reading necessary for recovery. Highly recommended for any christian seeking recovery as well as those working with Christian recovering alcoholics and/or addicts.

Great book for recovering people who are lost souls, trying to find the meaning for their lives, both internally, and externally, without the Grace of the Lord. Will help many to find their true purpose, as God through Jesus Christ, intended.

This Bible has been a tremendous resource for me in my prison ministry. This current English version is easily understood for folks with limited reading skills and limited Bible knowledge. The 12 step program is cleverly and appropriately woven through out the scriptures in a separate column or page, reference materials in the appendix and the 12 steps for recovery in the beginning. Biblical characters are profiled, identifying their strengths and weaknesses. These often common human character flaws and/or strengths are then more easily recognized to allow the individual to reflect on his/her own strengths and weaknesses. This personal reflection in turn assists individuals in changing undesirable behavior.

This is the most efficient way to study scripture and the 12 steps together in an organized, rational straight forward way that allows you to plan each reading. It is concise, straight and has biblical backing for each step in an easy to read format that lends itself to use as a teachers aid. I have used this book for years in the recovery community and find it a indespensible tool.
