I enjoyed Ryan's first CD, In Time, so I was eagerly waiting his next one.
Vicki Burris
This is truly Ryan at his very best, he pours his heart and his very soul into each song and takes you on a musical journey through life and all it's ups and downs.
Louise Siederer
Sweet songs of hope and inspiration, like To Someone You're the World, Your Time, and Significant; fun anthem type songs like Where I Belong and Live for Life.

It’s finally here—and like the artist who crafted it, it’s amazing and inspiring! A timeless work that needs no propping up, it speaks for itself! The compelling lyrics are caressed by that incomparable voice, guiding the listener through a delightful journey with the Irishman himself. He’s taken the stuff of life…his, yours, mine and theirs, sifted it together and wrapped it in very creative and exhilarating music! These are captivating songs that do much more than entertain. I’m smitten by what Ryan Kelly has done with the inspirations from his life and the talents that make him truly unique! He really “gets” life and makes ALL of it count for something, and it’s gripping to have this many pieces of his heart all at once!

Ryan Kelly has finally returned to the solo recording scene after a much-too-long break with his second album, "Life." Ryan has an amazing voice and always does a wonderful job of creating story and emotion in song that is easy to connect to - consistently my favorite part of his solo work. And, on "Life," this doesn't disappoint in the least.

He has written some truly beautiful pieces here that will touch your heart. And more than anything, they speak to hope. These kinds of thoughtful songs are so connectable for me, so they rank right up at the top of my favorites. For me, "Your Time" and "Significant" both stand out as lovely songs that pull at the emotions and are filled with great tenderness and, yes, hope. As well, "Messages" and "Runnin' Over Bridges" are tracks that I like a lot and would definitely recommend.

Ryan contrasts the introspective feel of the above with some up-tempo songs that are fun, encouraging and great to listen to. Both "From the Very Front Row" and "Where I Belong" are tracks with a great sound that hint at the little bit of country boy that I think lies inside Ryan somewhere, while I predict that the sexily-delivered "Samba" will raise the heart rate of a few fans. We could use a music video for that.

"Poison from Afar"... what could I possibly say? A song about a terrible situation, filled with such pain and anguish... and yet not hopeless. It is a heartbreaking song to listen to and may make you cry... but not all stories are pretty, and some need to be told regardless. But Ryan finishes the album with "Live for Life," a tune that feels like an African spiritual, celebrating the roads we've travelled and the triumphs at the top of our obstacles' mountains.

Hope. Hope and triumph. Indeed.

I love love Ryan's "Life" album! I bought it for myself for Christmas and all I can say is that it is a really good thing that you can't wear holes in cds because I've listened to the whole thing on repeat so many times I've lost count!! My absolute favorite is 'To Someone You're The World.' In fact, I painted the words to the chorus on a big canvas to hang in my counseling office one day soon!

If you haven't heard him, go listen to any song by Ireland's Ryan Kelly...his music and his heart will knock your socks off, put a smile on your face, and brighten up your day!!

Thanks Ryan for all that you do

Ryan Kelly proves that his hit album "In Time" was no flash in the pan. "Life" is a worthy successor to "In Time." In fact, "Life" reflects an even more mature person and musician, aided no doubt by the fact that Dave Cook, the former music director for Celtic Thunder was the album's producer. I would not presume to tell you which songs will most appeal to you as it likely depends on which message/story contained in each song resonates with you at this particular time in the present circumstances of your own life. At the present time, I am particularly fond of "From the Very Front Row" and "To Someone You're the World" but at any given moment I suspect my favorites will change (with the possible exception of "Poison from Afar" which may be a bit too much of a downer for me at any time). Mr. Kelly may not have the most polished or traditionally beautiful singing voice but his ability to convey emotion and tell a story with his songs is unsurpassed. I highly recommend this album.

I absolutely love this cd. I've listened to every song he's ever made and even got to meet him in person at one of the Celtic Thunder concerts. I couldn't talk much as I was too star struck but it was definitely one of the highlights of my life. He's the sweetest guy I think I'll ever meet and I look forward to seeing him again in the future.

Ryan's music is wonderfully written and sung. He pours out emotion in the stories of each song. 'Live for Life' is my favorite song on this CD. "Runnin' Over Bridges" is another great song. You can hear more from Ryan in his first CD 'In Time' and 'Acoustically Irish' with Neil Byrne.

Indeed, this is a very talented artist you will fall in love with, as well as his music. I have watched him perform and listened to his music for six years since he began with Celtic Thunder. His music just touches your soul; he is so "raw" and genuine. And humble...loves his fans... Read More
