We are all familiar with the Confessions of St Augustine. Who has not read this lengthy volume (which in essence is one long confessional prayer to God)? But after his conversion, what happened in St Augustine's life, ministry, mother, and more? In a short but fully packed book, Possidius, Bishop of Calama (who spent nearly every month with Augustine in Hippo, in study, in travels, and was with Augustine when he took his final breath), writes a wonderful account of the life of St Augustine from conversion to death and the legacy that St. Augustine has left for Christian Leaders. Possidius did not dwell in small details but looked at the impact of Augustine's life on the people and doctrine. An excellent and little known book.
