Life is Short, Eat Biscuits!,
By "staber19" (Tallahassee, FL) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Life Is Short. Eat Biscuits! (Paperback)
Anyone that is a pet owner should read this book!! It helps you remember all the wonderful times with you beloved pet. It will make you laugh and some will cry a few tears. When I showed it to several friends and co-workers they suggested it would be great book for children to read to understand or cope with the passing of a loved one or their pet. Many thanks to Amy Jordan Smith & Ted Meyer. Hope to see more books in the future!!!!

Puppy Chow For The Soul!!!,
By Doug Gordon (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Life Is Short. Eat Biscuits! (Paperback)
LIFE IS SHORT; EAT BISCUITS is beautifully illustrated, and through the eyes of a puppy, reinvents so many of life's "words of wisdom"...sayings we've repeatedly heard, but unfortunately seldom apply. This book is truly Puppy Chow for the soul; especially for those of us that have experienced the unconditional love bestowed on us by our own "Calvin" puppy. Life is indeed short, so take the time, and share a biscuit with someone you love while enjoying this book. Kudos to the author and illustrator!!!

Life is Short- if you can't eat biscuits- Read them!,
By Marni Pilafian (Midlothian, VA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Life Is Short. Eat Biscuits! (Paperback)
This little book, Life is Short. EatBiscuits! has not only changed my perspectives toward my own dogs, after reading it to them, but they too have changed their attitudes toward me, their loving owner. Life is Short. EatBiscuits! provided insight into the dog's mind, his loving spirit, his (or her) true feelings of unconditional love toward his owner that I realized for the first time that our symbiotic relationship- owner and dogs- was based on a purity of love and devotion like no other. "What would Lassie do?" is now a question I ask my dogs every day, as they hound me at dinner time, and ignore my pleas for quiet. In fact, the Zen-like change in them I have noticed since reading them Ms. Smith's book has prompted me to ask the same question to myself, when getting exasperated waiting in a traffic jam, cursing under my breath....."What would Lassie do?" For some reason unbeknownst to this human mind, pondering the answer to that question calms me right down. I am now appreciating the fact that life IS too short, and I might just start eating biscuits.....Marni Pilafian

Thoughtful and very amusing,
This review is from: Life Is Short. Eat Biscuits! (Paperback)
As a dog owner and lover of animals in general I found this book to be a must! Smith is very keen to remind us that our pets are not just animals but members of our family and their loyalty has no boundries.

A "table top" must!,

This review is from: Life Is Short. Eat Biscuits! (Paperback)
"If it makes your tail wag it's good" is only one of the thought provoking words of wisdom in these colorfully illustrated lessons that dogs can teach us about unconditional love and happiness. Every time I turn through these beautifully written pages my tail wags harder each time. Thank You Amy Jordon Smith for sharing your biscuit.

I have read this book several times, and it never fails to make me smile...and make me think. My dachshund, Pirate, gives it five stars, and so do I.

Dog Lovers' Alert,
This review is from: Life Is Short. Eat Biscuits! (Paperback)
This is an extremely clever book of philosophy derived from the observations of a dog owner. The delightful illustrations add to the book's appeal.
