Book Description

July 1, 2009

Gordon Spice’s life and his 23-year professional driving career include politically incorrect, wickedly witty recollections of the sixties and seventies motor racing scene. An amusing raconteur, Spice relates considerable personal motorsport and business achievements. These include creating a high-street car-accessory empire, a race-car construction company and floating his company on the UK Stock Exchange. Meanwhile, Gordon gathered international and national motor racing championships, participating in 24-hour races 20 times. This is a fascinating and humorous read, with the emphasis on entertainment.

5.0 out of 5 stars Two fine motorsport titles are 'must' acquisitions for any serious library where patrons demand great car racing books, October 15, 2009
This review is from: Life of Spice: The Autobiography of Gordon Spice (Hardcover)
Two fine motorsport titles are 'must' acquisitions for any serious library where patrons demand great car racing books. Gordon Spice's LIFE OF SPICE; THE AUTOBIOGRAPHY OF GORDON SPICE tells of a driver who blended his successful business career with 23 years of professional driving. He won four consecutive FIA World Endurance Drivers' titles in the 80s driving sportscars produced by his own engineering company and he here provides an outstanding survey of his own life and achievements, discussing how innovations led to his business success and long-time involvement in the motor sports industry.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Good Read, June 12, 2010

This review is from: Life of Spice: The Autobiography of Gordon Spice (Hardcover)
I don't read a lot of books but this one was full of worthwhile humorous stories, sometimes a bit askew or off colored as that's how life is. Highly recommended whether you are a road track race fan or not.
