5.0 out of 5 stars Great inspiration!! June 16, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
I received a free copy of this book from the author. Here's my honest review:

I am so inspired to make a life list!! And it honestly helps that I've been making some (hopefully) life-changing decisions lately, like going back to school and cutting back on work to make school happen. It's time I got my life in order, and this was JUST the book I needed.

Bond does not tell you HOW to get these things accomplished. That's not what this book is for. This book will help you to figure out what you want from life. Then it shows you how and when to try to make time for it. It's up to you to accomplish those things when you finish your own life list. But this book certainly motivates to you want to do so!

Eight steps isn't a lot. They're not all easy, but they aren't all hard. Every one of them is designed to help you get to the bottom of what you want to accomplish in life, big or small. Bond encourages you to dig deep, dream big, and remember that everything can change. If you use these steps, you may surprise yourself by what you learn. You may already have ideas, but this small, short book will help kick start you into making your list and figuring out how to accomplish everything.

I was taking notes while reading this book. Then I decided to finish reading and make my life list after. I already have some ideas, but I'd love to hear yours and maybe even start a group to help keep each other motivated or keep track of our life lists together! Thanks to Stephanie Bond for this awesome how-to!

5.0 out of 5 stars Speaking from experience . . . June 15, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
Though I don't know Stephanie Bond, I've seen her speak at a conference. I jumped at the chance to read her steps to creating a LIFE LIST because her accomplishments show that she knows what she's talking about--she's a savvy businesswoman who moved from the world of Corporate IT to become a working writer. This is a concise, no-nonsense work from someone who's "lived" what she writes about. Well worth the money and investment of time to read it. Be careful--it might just encourage you to pursue that next dream.

5.0 out of 5 stars More Motivated Already June 14, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
I just read this book while fixing supper and, as a result, made a rudimentary life list. Even better? Already started checking off some things that had been nagging at me for a while. Bond's enthusiasm simply bubbles up through the book. I plan on going through the steps with my husband, too, and I love the suggestion of sharing Life Lists at New Year's and making those lists with friends since friends can often sometimes see things about us that we ourselves can't see.

As a devoted list maker, I was a little skeptical about learning something new, but Bond's methodical approach got me to think in new ways. I'm sold!

Not much new here is said. Mostly just encouragement and a tad bit of organization to the steps necessary to moving on in life for those who can't figure it out themselves.

More About the Author

Stephanie Bond was several years into a corporate computer programming career when an instructor in her night school MBA program remarked that she had a flair for writing and encouraged her to submit one of her projects to academic journals. "But," Stephanie says, "all I could think was 'I wonder if I could write a romance novel?'" Bond grew up on a farm in eastern Kentucky where the entertainment choices were few. Luckily, she had a beloved aunt who shared her passion for reading. "When she visited once a year, she brought boxes and boxes of books by Victoria Holt and Phyllis Whitney and lush historicals--I was in heaven! I think I learned most of what I know about world history from historical romance novels. So suddenly thinking about writing in the genre of the books I loved so much was very exciting." After writing every spare moment for two years, Stephanie sold her first romantic comedy manuscript, IRRESISTIBLE? to Harlequin books. Two years later, she walked away from her corporate career to write commercial fiction full time. To date, she's published over 60 romance and mystery projects with Random House, St. Martin's Press, HarperCollins, and Mira Books, and is most well-known for her BODY MOVERS humorous mystery series. Look for Stephanie's new mystery series TWO GUYS DETECTIVE AGENCY coming May 2013. (TWO GUYS DETECTIVE AGENCY has been optioned for TV series development!) Stephanie lives in midtown Atlanta and is probably working on a story at this very moment.
