OMG, this album excites me. The same notoriety that Kirk is getting for his great album, JR deserves for putting out this MASTERPIECE. I'm a junior in college, so I like stuff that is heavy-hitting. The slow, the mid-tempo, the fast - it's all there. It's definitely progressive; sounds like nothing in the Bible bookstore; sounds like nothing on the CD racks period! 5 (of the) top tracks: Tonight, Trust in You, Words of Life, OK, Your Word.

Remember, Body of Christ, the Gospel shapeshifts its presentation to meet the specific needs of the hearers (parables), yet maintains the truth...JR follows Jesus' lead.

I, like most, was expecting a similar offering as the first project 'Metamorphasis', so I listened to other CD's I had for a while (not to hastily judge). I'm sooooo glad I did! Rarely does an artist offer such a diverse departure from his previous offering. If you like 'Not A Slave' video for this CD, you may experience shock with the mellow sounds of CD #1... or vice versa in my case. Both CD's are exceptional and totally different! This CD is not "easy beats" and you can't compatmentalize 'Life by Stereo' as something similar you heard before. I love all CMR product offerings and for JR not to be a rapper, but a musician is a pleasant diversifying factor. It blazes the trail (as CMR did for Christian rap) to cause other artists to step it up! I bought two of the last CD's for others and bought 1 of these as a gift to show there is a Christian altervative to secular R&B. If you appreciate all music in general -- Christian Rock, Rap, & R&B... this is a must own!!!

This is SOOOOO different from the 1st one yet you get the same musical experience....OK is by far my favorite....Trust In You hits hard...Ridaz is my joint J.R. could have even rapped his verses and it would not have sounded corny at all!!!!...Need You sounds like a track off of a movie soundtrack!!!...I could go on all day but you have to experience it for yourselves...GET THIS CD!!!

I made a premature judgement call to J.R.'s music. After listening to it thoroughly over and over, I've come to the conclusion that this cd IS worth buying! I enjoy this one more than Metamorphosis. The beats are on point and message glorifies God. Once again, I admit my faults, forgive me! 4/5 star rating

Excellent work. I saw JR late one night flipping through channels
and thout it was Lenny Kravitz but as I listened I realized , hey
he's good. Great mixture of styles, beats. You will like it.

See...JR is the kind of [christian] artist that's needed in all music libraries. I shall do him no justice by mix-mashing comparisons to household mainstream names, but he's got a little bit of every element. And this dude is serious if his objective is to re-write a catchy style. He's rockishly-r&b and hip/hop and melodically original. It amazes me still to this day that the caliber of artists like JR, Trip Lee, Flame, etc etc...just don't catch in the mainstream...but all because they're christian. He's got talent written in all his stuff. This album, if given as a gift, would be a gift that just keeps on giving.

simply wow, great beats clean and just awesome to hear over and over again. My favorite is Not a Slave. This one always cheers me up no matter what day I just had. It lifts my spirits so high it makes me want to move my grove to it. LOL!

I love this c.d! It doesn't just have good beats, but the message is what it's all about. I love the variety, its not just the same old feel for each song, but its different from track to track.

This album is a complete, total, absolute Godsend. Not only can this young man sang, (not a typo) he uses the powerful, beautiful name "Jesus" in pretty much every song, and not just once, but over and over and over...The depth and lyrical content of this CD is something I haven't seen from some Gospel pop or R&B artists who have been singing for more than ten years. That just shows J.R.'s spiritual maturity. He is talking the talk right here. And the issues he deals with on this album are real. You can tell he knows what he's talking about, backing it up only with faith and trust in our Heavenly Father.

And the beats? Sounds a great deal of what I like to call 'Afro-Punk'; think N.E.R.D., Gnarls Barkley, Janelle Monae, Andre 3000 from Outkast type of sound. He also has elements of melodies that are reminscent of Coldplay, Common, from punk/rock to hip-hop, soul and mellow. This is a treat. You don't have an excuse not to get a hold of this album. It is just better than you'd expect. This man is not only a musical genius, he is also using his gifts to proclaim the love of Christ and the happiness and fulfillment of living life surrounded in that love.

Thank you J.R., you are one of the rare ones out there, I pray you achieve everything you set your mind to in Christ's matchless and perfect name. May His praise forever be on your lips J.R. and He will lift a standard against the enemy when he comes in like a flood against you. Just stand on G-d's Holy Word. Thank you for letting Christ use you as a vessel, you will be remembered.

I absolutely love this CD! It's definitely an innovative project and is very different from most of the Christian music I've heard. J.R. is awesome and I appreciate his creativity.
