Not only is this a great book, but a true story. I highly recommend this for anyone interested in the other side of the Spiritual veil. Lester Sumrall was in the Deliverance Ministry for over 5o years and has alot of wisdom, experience, and insight into dark and evil forces.

A top 10 of spirit filled ministry biographies I've read...,

This review is from: The Life Story of Lester Sumrall: The Man, the Ministry, the Vision (Paperback)
Lester's bio is superb because it is written by him with the strength of humility: an ordinary man, an extraordinary response to God, a super-ordinary modern demonstration of the Lord's outpouring of His Spirit throughout Summerall's life. The book reads easily but powerfully. A must read for those who want to learn more about walking in power and love to reach the nations for Christ. This is a book you will want to give to others. Buy two right away and let a friend read it while you are enjoying the blessed journey of Lester's life.

This book is a must read for anyone who needs to step out in faith. Lester Sumrall is an amazing man, and his life story will inspire anyone who has dared to step out in faith. I loved how real he is, and how transparent he allowed himself to be. We go from glory to glory, and from faith step to a bigger faith step. God's hand is shown in such a powerful way when the vessel He uses is willing to submit themselves to doing His will.

This book is a page turner, and all the more so because it is all true. Rev. Sumrall's sense of humor is evident throughout his life. He shows that you can do the Lord's work and still see the humor in life situations. A very inspirational book I read cover to cover.

If God can use this rebel, He can use me,

Don't stop reading in this book until you find God giving Lester a life or death choice. After that choice it is amazing to know what God did in training Lester to get him to trust and obey. If God can take this rebel and guide him and use him, He can do the same for me. I found my next step instructions in three books by Arthur Wallis: "Pray in the Spirit", "God's Chosen Fast", and "In the Day of Thy Power". "God Chasers" by Lester Sumrall was my first motivational step toward revival.

The Life Story of Lester Sumrall, was from start to finish a great encouragement to me. It spoke of one man's journey from almost certain death to an encounter with a living and loving God. This book was written in an easy to read and spiritually thought provoking style.
Lester's life was one of continuous encounters with the miraculous. Lester choose to put God first. He obeyed and trusted God and as a result saw the great intervention of God in his own life and toward those he served. This book gives you a window to see into what life is like when you choose to live for God and believe in God to work on His own behalf to win others to Himself. This is truly a remarkable story and inspires one's faith in a Great and Powerful and Loving God. If you want to know what God will do with a man or woman dedicated to Him, then read this book.

Is God still in control this world? Is He still speaking to us?
The answer is, Yes, He do, His Spirit live with us. He don't change yesterday, today and tomorrow. The question/difficulty with me is How to listen to His voice. He speaks gently, we have to listen by heart, and act his word in real life. And let God be your LORD. Brother Lester gives a so amazing example how to listen to God, serve God and serve/love people. Especially the works of Holy Spirit. I learn more about this, I hope anyone who is interested this book too.
