effortless indie pop with some awkward moments,

This review is from: Life Through One Speaker (Audio CD)
I just bought this record and I have to tell you that this band really is something special. Sure you can say they are just a Belle and Sebastian rip-off band, but that really isn't a fair statement. Their songs and melodies are original and they really have nice instrumentation with their music. Are they as good as a B&S yet? I don't really think so, but they are getting there. This album is full of promise and good songs, the only problem I have are the occassional awkward moments on the record, but I think in time they will get over that small flaw. Here's hoping that they can get more money to make their records too as bigger production would probably really help this band and get rid of a good portion of the awkward moments. If you liked the last record there is no reason you should not buy this one.
