No Better Way to Introduce Evolution!,

I love this teaching unit for introducing my sixth grade students to the concept of evolution. They are actively engaged in investigating evidence and developing formative ideas about how life has changed through geologic time. By investigating five time periods and their geologic features and determining the characteristics and adaptations of the organisms that thrived during those eras helps students to see how geology impacts biology. It's a great unit that is worth the prep time involved!
