Awesome, VERY funny, talented, amazing!,

This review is from: The Life and Times of Mike Fanning (Audio CD)
I was lucky enough to twice see this group perform when I lived in Washington, DC. They are beautiful acapella singers and hysterically funny. Every single song on this CD is amazing. "Kingdom in the Sky" is a hysterical Disney World interpretation of the gospel. "Secret Asian Man" will have you rolling on the floor. The "Saggy Diaper Blues" is a hysterical blues style song from the infant generation. "Title of the Song" is a great mockery of every boy band song ever written. The whole CD will have you laughing, grooving, and relaxing. If you live on the East Coast make sure you check out their website to see when you can see them live. Their live shows are wonderful. Enjoy!

Davinci's Notebook Rocks!,

I'm a DVN fan... they're great! The Life and Times has a few songs that I'm really in love with... mostly, "Kingdom in the Sky" (I'm a Mickey Mouse fan). I've seen the group several times in person, and of their 3 current albums (Bendy's Law, Life and Times of Mike Fanning, Brontosaurus), I'm hard pressed to choose between Life and Times and Brontosaurus for my favorite. Anyway... if you want something extremely funny to listen to, that you can play over and over again without getting bored with it, you definitely want to invest in Davinci's Notebook.Word of warning, though... a few of their songs have 'explicit' lyrics, so if you're easily offended or have small children, you might want to skip over those (you'll be able to tell by the name of the songs). On their website (http://www.davincisnotebook.com) they do have some 'tidbits' of some of their songs... so if you want to see what they're all about, you should definitely stop by their site.

I first heard of Da Vinci's Notebook on a recent trip to Bass Lake Ca. My son and I were in our car on our way to play golf in Yosemite when we heard a live broadcast on the radio. It took about twenty minutes to get to our destination and in that time we heard about three songs off their latest album, and we both laughed and were in awe of their awesome talent and wit. I am currently looking for the album (The Life And Times Of Mike Fanning) online. Please buy this album. You will be glad you did. Mike From Harbor City
