This review is from: The Life And Times Of The Peanut (Turtleback School & Library Binding Edition) (School & Library Binding)
I planted peanuts and bought this book to teach my son what we were doing. I found myself using it as a reference book and bought everything else the author wrote based on this one book.

Plant growth and peanut farming are explained, together with historical and scientific information, in a well-written, interesting, beautifully illustrated book. Now I have to find more books by Charles Micucci!"Life is too short to read a badly-written book." ~T.M.

I asked Dr. Peanut what he thought of this book. His answer? "Nutty!" Of course that may not mean what you think it means, since the doctor speaks Pinglish. But he was glad for all the new things Mr. Micucci is telling young giants about his kind of plant. Still, he wished the author had mentioned a few more things. Since he did mention the song "Goober Peas" he should also have mentioned the Talking Peanuts' favorite, which is "Found a Peanut." Also, he should have said something about the Talking Peanuts, who are constantly being mistaken for the regular, non-talking, eatable ones. Nutty to Meet You! Dr. Peanut Book #1
