Comprehensive review of the many uses that Siri has, with good screenshots and simple, engaging writing style. Well worth the $2 to leverage this amazing, amusing software. This ebook includes almost all of the 50 Best Siri Tips (I bought that too, and only found a couple that were not included in this book). I read it through in about an hour, and found many useful ideas and quite a few smiles. Thanks Jodi for a very useful guide!

Siri is a feature of the iPhone 4s and iPhone 5. It acts as a personal assistant with the resources of the iPhone and can understand a wide range of natural language questions and commands. Over time Siri learns more about the user of the iPhone and improves its understanding by passing information back to its developers at Wolfram Alpha.

This book helps initial users of Siri in two ways. The first section presents fifty amusing exchanges between Siri and Jodi Dery, the book's author. Some illustrate shortcomings in Siri's language understanding ("Open your mouth and close your eyes, I have a surprise for you." - "I can't open that for you, Jodi. My apologies."). Others demonstrate an overly-literal processing of input ("Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum." - "I found 15 liquor stores fairly close to you."). Many reveal that the designers have anticipated whimsical input ("Beam me up Scotty." - "Please remove your belt, shoes and jacket, and empty your pockets."). These examples make Siri seem easy and fun to use.

The second section provides fifty tips for getting the most out of Siri. They include using Siri to manage your tasks, appointments, and deadlines; playing songs, movies, and podcasts; determining your location and the nearest gas stations, restaurants, and other services; and finding information on your iPhone and on the web. The book makes your mastery of Siri's capabilities more efficient than trial and error. It is a good supplement to the documentation provided by Apple.

The funny exchanges are not terribly funny, but do help readers get a feel for Siri's capabilities and "personality." The tips are more directly useful and show how to do useful tasks. The price is right, the book is well-organized and easy to browse, and the style is light and engaging. If you are new to Siri and intend to use it, this book is worth reading. Enjoy!

Good book of basic questions and responses Siri will give. Quite humorous given the fact Siri is a logic base software program.

For $1.99 you can't go wrong with this small gem of a book. The first part shows how humorous Siri can be while the second part offers useful tips in the best ways to take advantage of her wealth of knowledge. Don't delay in discovering what "she" can do for you. A "must have" for anyone with the iPhone 4s smartphone. Sandy S.

My wife recommended this book to me, and I really enjoy it. Now I know that Siri has a fun side. Looking forward to sharing the book with others.
