Fehlauer offers an insightful discussion of the scriptural origin of fear. From the Garden of Eden scenerio he reveals the progression of Adam's fall from grace into the resulting insecurity and the inevitable awakening of fear. Fear, he says, is the original negative emotion and the basis for all other negative emotions. It is really very good.

This book also covers the specifics of various kinds of fears and phobias and offers plenty of Biblical and practical methods to be set free. Life Without Fear is rich with understanding. I am, as a pastor, now recommending this book to everyone struggling with fear.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hard to put down, December 12, 2006

This review is from: Life Without Fear: Be Strong and Let Your Heart Take Courage (Paperback)
All believers are called to live an absolutely fear free life. Yet we so often fall short of it. Thus we are hindered in our walk and service to God. Mike Fehlauer presents in this book some of the fears that cripple us, and the roots of them.

After reading this book I became increasingly aware of some of the fears that had plagued me. When they arose I was immediately arrested, and able to bring myself in line with how I should hold myself as a child of God. Two of the chapters dealt with two predominate fears I am presently, with God's help, overcoming. (The fear of man and the fear of failure.) Although I can't testify that I am completely free, I can say that this book helped me incredibly.
