I am a Daughter of Saint Paul, which is a Catholic community of women religious who seek to communicate the love of God through our lives and all forms of media.

I was born in Massachusetts and am the seventh of twelve children. Being a writer was one of my childhood dreams, along with being a nurse, an actress, a director for the stage, and on my more wishful days, a pianist, singer or painter. (This was wishful because I'm not particularly talented in any of these areas, although I will always enjoy dabbling.)

I've always known the Daughters of Saint Paul as the "nuns with the good books," since every year we visited their book center as a family. I dabbled with the thought of being a religious sister a few times, but didn't think about seriously until ninth grade, when I started to grow more interested in developing my personal relationship with God. My first visit with the sisters changed my life forever.

I've been a religious sister now for over twenty years. I love the many elements of my life as a Daughter of Saint Paul, and they are reflected in what I write. In addition to the books that I've written about spirituality, I've written many scripts for home video and cable television, and I'm currently developing two feature scripts. My blog is about the connection between spirituality and the arts (especially writing).
