About the Author

A long way from the days of living in a car with his mom, dad, and sister, in the middle of a Texas heat wave, Jim bounced through thirteen different schools before landing a more stable home in Centralia, Illinois; with his always encouraging grandmother (Gma) in the mid-1980’s. Born in Springfield, Illinois, Jim “Rhino” Reincke now finds happiness and home in the small Southern Illinois town of Salem. This new lease on life helped Jim make a decision that life would be grand as long as he decided it to be so. While in High School, Jim worked to share stories of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness with hundreds of his peers in schools across Southern Illinois. He spent his young adulthood traveling North America as an inspirational speaker for both work and pleasure. Now in the world of Financial Services, Jim doesn’t travel nearly as much, but certainly stays active as an involved father and dad (there is a difference) to his four children, Parker, Spencer, Emma, and Benjamin; all while sneaking moments of togetherness with Debbie, his bride and sweetheart since 1996.

Very interesting snapshot of how a positive individual utilizes Facebook to interconnect his personal philosophy among family, friends, and newcomers. There are dozens of great quotes in this book with commentary by the author on how he, as a common man...a family man, incorporates each into his daily life. Quotes, or statements of encouragement, often lack infinite meaning for lack of will to internalize the depth of the source. However, Rhino holds himself accountable to his philosophy of "Life is Grand, Bring it on!" and encourages others to do the same . Its a quick read but a reference book sure to stay on your nightstand for years to come.

I really enjoyed reading all of Jim's uplifting and oftentimes funny observations. When I am feeling down, all I have to do is pick up my book for some warm and fuzzy daily morale boosts. It helps to remind me that I am not alone in my struggle to stay positive in the crazy trip called life.
