Update #2: Better and better! One of the annoying items about having a waterproof case is the headphone jack must be covered. LifeProof covers it with a screw in plug that seals up the hole. Life Proof includes a screw in headphone adapter so if you drop you phone in the sink (lake, ocean, toilet, etc,) with your headphones connected, the case is sealed. Excellent but what do you do with the plug? With the Fre case, there was a small plastic unit attached to the screw-in extension that would allow you to store the plug. Not bad, but you could still lose the plug leaving a hole in your waterproof case. Now here's the better part: the iPhone Nuud case uses a thin plastic strap that attached the plug permanently to the phone. The strap molds itself to the lower left corner and you do not know its there until you unscrew the plug. Great design and one more reason that LifeProof is (IMHO) the best waterproof case on the market. (One more comment after reading some of the other reviews regarding audio quality: I've haven't experienced any issues regarding hearing anyone when I use the phone. In fact I've been a bit surprised at the speaker phone quality considering the phone is totally sealed.)

Update #1: I've been so impressed with the i5 Nuud case that I ordered one for my iPad.

I've previously written a review for the iPhone 5 Fre case, which came highly recommended by guys who regularly abuse their phones. I also own an Otterbox Defender for the i5. Of the three, LifeProof's new i5 Nuud case is by far my favorite.

The Nuud case is an improvement on the Fre case and is my go to case for daily use. My (minor) complaints about the Fre case had mainly to do with their screen protector. It just wasn't up to the same standard as Otterbox's ...at least until now.

Life Proof Nuud Is a well built and solid case. I purchased the Black Nuud directly from LifeProof.com with a 10% discount I found online which ended up tallying the price to about the same of the fre case. The case got to me in about a week.

They're were many questions I had about the case which I couldn't find before I bought it, so here are the answers to the questions right here.

1. Is the case compatible with iOS7?: Yes both the control center pulled up from the bottom of the screen is easily accessible as well as the notification center from the top of the screen. Also in Safari, going forward and back pages by swiping from the side edge of the screen is also easily accessible.

2. How big is the headphone jack?: The headphone jack is only big enough to fit the apple ear pod headphones when the life proof headphone adapter is not inserted. This means that the whole headphone jack on the apple ear pod fits in, which is the size of the white part of the headphone jack. If you have headphones that wont fit and you do not want to use the included headphone adapter, my suggestion is to buy an aftermarket headphones adapter that has a port small enough for the case, and just leave that adapter on your other set of headphones when you need to use them.

3. How good is call quality: Call quality is excellent so far. I find no problems hearing the person who I'm calling on the other line, nor do they have problems hearing me when I talk. My suggestion would be to keep the call volume on maximum though.

4. Silent/loud switch: Works great no problems there.

5. Lighting port jack: Fits very snuggly. No water should get in. Takes a little bit of force to get it to open.

6.

I have heard so many great things about this case and REALLY wanted it to work. I went to Best Buy to get the Life proof original case but saw the Nuud display. Like the other review it was not in yet so I waited. I went to a different Best Buy and purchased the case. I did the water test as suggested and when I took the case apart I felt a small amount of water on the insert. As instructed I went online to the Life Proof website. I ended up calling Lifeproof to inform them of the leak or find out what I needed to do to prevent this. The support rep from Lifeproof asked me for the serial number on the front and on the back case. I found the serial number on the front case but there wasn't one on the back case. The rep informed me that she had others call and say there wasn't a serial number on the back case and she put me on hold. She came back to the phone and said that she couldn't send me a replacement case because there was no serial number on the back case. So I took it back to Best Buy and got another case, tested it and found no leaks. However, now when I talk on my phone people can't understand what I'm saying. It seems as though something is covering the mic on my phone. For the price of this case I expected the phone to continue to work as usual. It's also disappointing that Lifeproof tech support doesn't support their products that are sold at retail stores. The rep said because I didn't buy it from Lifeproof she was not able to ship me a case.

I don't usually write reviews, but I tell everyone who asks about my lifeproof case how much I love it, so I decided to give it 5 stars on Amazon and spread the word.
I have had this case for 3 months now. This case is much less bulky than the Otterbox Defender (which I previously used) and it's completely waterproof (unlike the Otterbox which is not). After testing it with the included plastic phone dummy, I submerged my iPhone in the lifeproof case in a bucket of water about 10 inches deep with the music playing and let it sit there for a minute. Then I took it out and dried it off. I opened up the case and not even a hint of moisture, granted I was sweating a bit.
Since then, I don't hesitate to run it underwater in the sink if it's dirty. I don't worry about it falling in the snow or a puddle, etc. I have read that a few others have had leaks (possibly conterfeits), so it may be wise to pay the extra $ and order directly from lifeproof, because I believe they will replace your phone if it is damaged.
I got the armband as well and it's great to go jogging and not worry about the rain whether the phone is right side up or upside down, plus I have direct access to the screen so using GPS apps and iTunes is so much nicer (even with gloves that have capacitive fingers) than when I used to use an armband with a plastic screen cover over it.
Some have posted that they sound muffled to others. This is a common problem, and happened to me. I found out it was simply a matter of being careful not to displace the foam that goes around the microphone as you put the phone in the case. I took my phone back out, carefully pushed the foam back where it was supposed to be and carefully inserted the phone, making sure the microphone foam stayed where it was supposed to. No more problems.
