With a body mass index option, a 31-measurement recall, and a target weight setting, the LifeSource Precision Personal Health Scale offers precise readings and more functionality than many traditional scales. The scale measures your weight accurately within 1/10 of a pound, making it ideal both for those who are dieting and for athletes and diabetics who want to keep strict watch of their weight. Additionally, this scale can be used as a baby weight scale, with its convenient weight-subtraction feature. The thin design of the scale keeps it low profile and makes it easy to store.
Measuring within 1/10 of a pound, this scale recognizes even small increases or decreases in weight and is sensitive enough to register a change when a cup of coffee or a glass of water is added. The precision of this scale offers athletes, diabetics, and dieters the ability to closely monitor their body weight. The scale is meant to hold less than 350 pounds.
The built-in memory function holds up to 31 readings, allowing you to track your weight history for the past month and measure your weight loss/gain against your target weight. The scale lets you set a weight goal, so you can compare the numbers.
The Precision Personal Health Scale offers a body mass index (BMI) calculator, giving you the opportunity to learn about your unique body makeup. This feature calculates an adult's weight-to-height ratio to determine if he or she is overweight. On this scale, your BMI is automatically estimated and shown on the display along with your weight.
Less than 1-1/2 inches thick, this scale contains useful technology in a small package. Its thin profile makes it easy to stash out of sight when the scale is not in use, and its low height requires little effort to step onto.
Parents can easily measure the weight of their infants with this LifeSource scale. It features a calculator designed to subtract an adult's weight when holding a child, providing the weight of the infant.
LifeSource Precision Personal Scale, 4 AA batteries, and instruction manual.

Perfect for our needs,
By Knowing weight down to the tenth of a pound is nice, if a bit overkill for most people's needs. However, there is one area where this is really useful (and we've used it a lot for this purpose): if you are new parents and want to track the weight of your infant, this scale allows you to do that easily. We've been tracking our son's weight from birth to almost six months (next Wed) this way. The trick to using this feature is to tap the "on" switch, and step on the scale before it registers a weight. Then one parent stands on the scale and is handed the infant. The scale will only measure the infant's weight; the parent's weight will be taken as part of the baseline. Once you try it it's an extremely simple method, and every time we've done it and then had a follow up exam at the pediatrician, the results have been spot on as mentioned before. Keep in mind that this scale is a whole lot cheaper than a dedicated infant scale, and more versatile. The only real downside is that a very squirmy kid (as ours is nowadays) will take a little longer to get an accurate reading than a calm one, but nothing is perfect. It's a lot to spend for a scale, but, assuming it lasts a while (it seems well built and I expect it not to die any time soon), it's worth having something that just works as you expect it to. New parents: this is one purchase you might not get at a baby shower, but is well worth it for piece of mind. Plus, it looks pretty slick ;)

An excellent scale,

This scale is the real deal. I am very happy with mine. I've compared it twice to the reading on an expensive commercial digital scale in my doctor's office and got the same reading to 0.1 lb. The stainless steel finish would seem to fit in most any decor. The only small negative is that the reading can swing a tenth or two, but that goes away once you learn how to properly use the scale without shifting your body weight.

Excellent Scale!,
We have been very happy with this scale. It is accurate to .1 pound, which can be very important when you're trying to lose weight (seeing even a little bit of a drop can be excellent motivation!) You can step on it several times in a row and get the same number each time. We have been through many scales in the past, including some of the nicer digital scales from Taylor and Weight Watchers and the LifeSource scale has been far superior. It is very easy to use. There are other bells and whistles that we have not used - we use it as just the standard "turn it on, step on and get a number" type of scale.
It is well worth the price and is the most accurate, easy-to-use scale that I have ever owned.
