13 years Ab Wheel experience,
By troy l graves jr (Baltimore.MD) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Power Wheel II (Health and Beauty)
I was first introduced to "the wheel" in 1995 while in the Navy and sense then I've tried wheels of various designs. For the past 2 years I have been using a double wheeled design 6" dia. wheel with thin handles. The thin handles work well for me as I always wear either boxing wraps or lifting gloves for a more comfortable grip. The "Power Wheel II" has a design that is ideal for advanced trainers, expecially those envolved in combat sports were core strength is everything.
* First, the large diameter wheel provides great floor clearance for when you're fully extended and holding in the "Superman position". * Second, the large dia. wheel also helps when doing advanced exercises like a "standing pike" to a full extension and back. The extra wheel height makes for a more comfortable reach and a smoother travel throughout the movement. * Lastly, the foot straps are an added bounus for advanced trainers allowing you to do a "reverse pike" from the handstand position. If you are a novice then this last feature may not be as benefitial to you yet, because it requires the greatest attention to the maintenance of proper form. But even if you are a beginner, "the wheel" of any design will do, just so long as you continuously challenge yourself with progressively further extensions and strict attention to form throughout the movement. The price of this product is what it is. Shop around if you have to but If you can afford it I would say get it, even if all you use at first are the handles. When I'm cranking out 60 to 70 reps in a minute, the extra floor clearance helps me keep my travel quick and smooth even in the most aggressive workouts. If you spend $40 and the wheel sits around collecting dust then you just blew 40 bucks but if you SERIOUSLY use it and gain a strong core in the process, then it was an investment.

A true humility machine,
This review is from: Power Wheel II (Health and Beauty)
I have been working on core strength for about a year. When the Power Wheel II arrived, I discovered how much further I have to go. It challenges the core in ways that other activities do not and identifies areas that I need to work on. This is a true bargain.

Power Wheel II,

This thing is harder to master than it looks. Much more versatile than those AB Wheels that the stores sell for a couple of bucks.
