5.0 out of 5 stars real weight without the hassle
I just got the heaviest black band and it is real weight-as much as 100 lbs and I believe it.If you are looking for practical and inexpensive home gym equipment, look no more. These products also last as I've had my red one for 10 years!!!

3.0 out of 5 stars a little rigid
I got this after a bout with physical therapy for a shoulder injury. This is not therapy grade. I found the material more rigid and less pliable than what I was working with during my sessions. I does provide good resistance however, and the door attachment is helpful for home workouts.

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent, but not abrasion-proof, March 8, 2009

This review is from: Lifeline Professional Exercise Tubing with Handles (Misc.)
Tubing is very sturdy and holds up to heavy use, with one exception: I was using tubing for a cable-row-type exercise, with the tubing wrapped around a square post. The post's edges were not sharp, but the abrasion under heavy resistance was enough to cause tearing in the tube. Also, the hard handles with plastic rings are a mixed bag - they are great, because the rings rotate freely around the handle, even under the heaviest resistance, but the hard handles can bump up against your hands, making certain exercises, such as curls, slightly awkward.

4.0 out of 5 stars Black Band... close to ultimate. :), September 6, 2009

I only really got the black band form the company so i cannot comment on the other colours. The Black offers a wonderful resistance. I got myself another band from another company that offers ultra heavy.. it was great..but...
for the ultimate resistance when ur done with the other bands.. BLACK!
Only complaint is the handles. they are hard plastic and can chaff the hands a bit.
Other than that..
Blackband offer a great alternative to weights for those who are looking for some real resistance.
Just.. be careful.. dont snap ur bak like a twig when doing any overhead tricep extensions.. :)

5.0 out of 5 stars The best resistance bands I've used, January 3, 2011
This review is from: Lifeline Professional Exercise Tubing with Handles (Misc.)
These resistance bands come in ten sizes, from 10 lbs to 100 lbs. This means that, for example, that if stretch the 10 lb band to twice its resting length, it would give you ten pounds of resistance.

I've used a number of these bands, primarily with the Barry's Bootcamp workout program. They've all been durable and long-lasting.

The best thing about them is their great range of motion. Unlike some other bands I've used, these offer smooth and consistent resistance through every exercise, and never tug or catch.

A word of warning to those who like to switch bands in and out for different exercises: the fatter bands, R8 and up, are pretty difficult to get in and out of the handles.

In spite of that, though, these are the best resistance bands I've used. I got them to replace my dumbbells when I was rehabbing a shoulder injury, and I've been very satisfied.

4.0 out of 5 stars GREAT RESISTANCE BANDS!, January 8, 2012

Ordered my brother the lvl7, yellow resistance and its great. Hes small (135lbs but strong) and these bands are great just what he needs for calisthetic workouts. Very strong material and much better than what "Golds Gym" from walmart or other retail stores.

Only con is i think it could be slightly cheaper. Will be ordering myself lvl8 and 10 in the future!

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent and Strong, November 29, 2010

I used these bands through a complete 90-day P90X program and was very happy. They did not bust, which is saying something, since I bought another band that did. My only complaint is that sometimes the plastic handle rubs against my wrist during some of the exercises, but I truly do not believe this can be helped without compromising the strength of the handle. I had a nylon handle that did not rub, but it busted and could have led to injury.

These things are fantastic for exercise on the go. You can put them into your luggage, they're light, but the resistance it heavy. Eventually I plan on getting every color they offer.

Lifetime resistance bands with handles that can hold three bands at once! Cool now I'll order a 4,6,8,10 which will allow me to have 4,6,8,10,12,14,16,18,20,22 and 24, that should do the trick.

I haven't gotten them yet. What I don't like about resistance bands is the fact that I have to do a half curl extended to 90 and the other half curl 90 to flexed in order to have some resistence on the extended to 90 range, but as has been noted, you can't pack your dumb bells
