This is a book to be used by parents of young children. It is an excellent guide on how to rise good Christian men and women and on how to become better parents.

This book has many practical ideas for instructing yourself and your children in virtues. Stenson has many examples from real families that use a variety of methods to teach there children self-control, discipline, charity, justice... virtues that are important for anyone to strive for. It was an easy read with lots of great information & ideas. It has some Catholic content but could be used by anyone for good ideas for instilling virtue in your children.

I am a young father of two little girls. This book was perfect for me. It's challenging and made me want to improve my own character to better serve as a model for my children. An important point Stenson makes is that a parents' personal example speaks infinitely more than their words. This book was also great in that its author is a faithful Catholic and he draws upon the Seven Cardinal virtues for fashioning character. I will re-read this valuable book.
