This was a great book of poems. Well written. Pure genius. The authors were insightful, creative and thought-provoking. This is a must read for the poetic genius in your life.

If you are looking for Emily Dickenson, you won't find her here. Lifelines explores life, death, and all aspects in between by wrapping difficult themes in the soft velvet of poetry. Poems like "Sitting Shiva," "Some Day," "Chief Joseph Trail" and "Hoof Prints in the Sand" all reveal the pain of loneliness or grief. Hope, dreams, and memories are there too in "Mother's Day," "Never Doubt," and "The Essence of Violet." This small book of poems is not to be rushed, but savored, letting each poem linger in the heart of the reader.

This is not Emily Dickinson's poetry. It's challenging and thought provoking and sometimes just plain fun! I enjoyed it and recommend it to anyone who wants a little different read.
