4.0 out of 5 stars This book re-invents our idea of aging., July 26, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Lifelong Fitness: How to Look Great at Any Age (Paperback)
This book represents a paradigm shift in the understanding of what human aging is. It contains the most amazing photos of a seventy-plus year old man I have ever seen. Few twenty-year-olds will ever have a lean muscular body like this, yet Bob DelMonteque tells all of us how we can enjoy having a body twenty, thirty, forty, fifty or more years younger that our contemporaries.

I recently saw Mr. DelMonteque on the very last episode of the TV show American Journal. Mr DelMonteque is now pushing eighty or more and still has the same body that is shown in the photos of this remarkable book. He offers us something that is the closest thing imaginable to the fountain of youth that is availible to almost everyone.

While his regime does push one too close to over-training, in my opinion, the basic ideas are all there. One only has to flip through the eye-popping photographs of this amazing man to understand that humanity's idea of aging will someday change forever.
