It took until our third child/student before we had one who enjoyed seat work, so I am very relieved to have access to such good material in this form. This is a perfect review or introduction to world history and geography done as a fly-over of the significant points of earlier times (Egypt, Assyria, Persia, the Far East, Greece, Rome) after which it begins to slow down as it touches on the Medieval times, Renaissance and Reformation, world empires, revolutions, and then on to industrialization. More detail is brought into the overview of the world wars and modern times before a final review of all eras is recapped in the last section. Purposefully mixing history and geography gives the students better context for each, I believe, and everything is presented in a way that allows self-direction and promotes discussion.

I have discounted my review due to a few errors found in the early exercises, and a bit of disappointment with the Teacher's Guide. The guide's content is very good, but it should be made easier to navigate. Something as simple as section numbers along the outside edge of the pages would make it so much easier to thumb through to find answer keys and such.

Overall, very good to excellent, and my sophomore much prefers it to the ACE material we used last year.

I like the simplicity of the lifepacs. Yet the thoroughness it has in my opinion. This is my first year using Lifepacs and am looking forward to see how my children do with them. I have 5 children so I was aiming for parent/teacher friendly curriculum. This seems to be very user friendly. I do not have much else to say as we have not yet used this product.
