Great for Puppies,
This review is from: Life's Abundance Premium Health Food for Dogs - 8lb Bag (Misc.)
We have just recently adopted a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. I wanted to make sure that she had the best nutrition available. After some research and consulting my vet, I decided on Lifes Abundance. Let me just say it is great for puppies. Our pup took to it right away and hasnt had any of the problems you might expect by switching food. I highly recommend this food. The kibble is a good size for all dogs and the taste must be good because she cant get enough. One tip: Once you've decided that this food is for you buy the 40lb bag. Shipping is the same whether you get the 8lb or the 40lb.

Papillons Love this,
By Dog Mom (Pacific Northwest) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Life's Abundance Premium Health Food for Dogs - 8lb Bag (Misc.)
I have 2 Papillons and it takes a year for the two of them to go through an 8 lb bag. I have tried to mix with other brands(including Halo)I can buy locally but they spit it on the floor and eat only the Life's Abundance. I gave up! We now order it on line and spoil these rascals with Life's Abundance. I wish you sold it in smaller size bags.

Maltese puppy likes it,

The breeder selling 8 week old Maltese required this food to be purchased prior to selling one of her puppies.
When the puppy came home, I was told to add liquids (breeder recommended goats milk, I used water) but I wasn't sure how much. A little water soaked for about 20 minutes wasn't enough. The puppy had no teeth to be able to chew this food at that point. If you have a puppy like her (2 pound Maltese), put about a quarter cup in a ziploc bag and add about half a cup of water. That's right, two parts water to one part food. The food will expand like crazy and look like it's about three times is dry size. I would prepare the bag like this the night before then divide it up into four meals the next day. Warm or hot water soaks in faster and cools by the next day, I recommend hot-ish water. After 10 days, the puppy now has enough teeth to be able to eat the food dry, but I still add just a little water. The ingredients all seem to be really good ingredients and some dog food review sites rate it pretty high, I'd have no problem saying the puppy really seems to love this food. |
