I have an indoor pigeon who poops A LOT! Before I discovered Poop Off, I used vinegar and water to clean her messes for over a year. I can't stand the smell of vinegar, but I didn't want to use regular household cleaners in her room, since they could be toxic. I didn't have high hopes when I bought the Poop Off, but it really works! And it smells good! It literally dissolves poop.

I have an avian and animal rescue sanctuary and I can tell you finding a non toxic, eco friendly cleaner, safe for animals and people is daunting.
I have been using poop off for about 7 years now. Diluted bleach, steam, vinegar, Odoban, detergents.....etc..I have tried it. Poop Off works like nothing can.
Dried on fecal matter for example, comes up with little effort. Grease from cooking wipes up easily. If there is a stubborn mess (cooked on food particles for example) I spray it and let it sit for about 10 minutes (give or take), then wipe it off.
Poop Off's enzymes work the mess/stain for you. I have had no problem with different surfaces either. (My aviary is flagstone and without spraying Poop Off first even my pressure washer has a struggle!)
I have cleaned up stubborn matter using Poop Off on brick, field stone, raw wood, pressure treated decking, glass, hardwood floors, upholstery, vinyl flooring, bedding, clothing, plastic, wrought iron, carpet, wool rugs, brass and copper.
Stains will not always come out on some fabrics. Bird droppings for instance will stain some fabrics no matter what you do. I have also been forced to use a scraper on occasion but, with Poop Off I never have to pick up anything but a cloth, sponge or paper towel.
I recommend getting the small spray bottle and/or gallon. Gallon is a cheaper way for me to buy plus, I prefer to fill the labeled Poop Off sprayer vs writing on a generic sprayer. (Quick to distinguish from my vinegar/water spray and others.) Shake it a little before using, the liquid does separate a tad if it sits unused for a while.
The scrub brush bottle did not work very well for me. I found using my own cloth or old toothbrush easier to handle and cleaning the scrub top was not as easy as throwing my cloth in the washer.
I did not care for the Poop Off wipes. While in theory they are a good idea, in reality their performance was very lacking.
Overall if you have humans or animals to clean up after you should give this a try.

Poop-Off is a safe, enzymatic cleaner which softens up hard, crusted bird droppings into a wet, gloppy after-dropping sludge. You might be wondering if this is a good thing, and the answer is, absolutely! The gloppy-wet stuff is very easy to wipe off without scrubbing. Poop-Off works much better than vinegar and smells less, although it does have a distinct aroma of its own. You can use Poop-Off while your birds are nearby, although, of course, you should not spray it directly on them.

The price quoted on Amazon at the time I write this review is far lower that what you would spend in a pet store or from the manufacturer. To me, that means I can use more of it and spend less time wiping cage bars, playpens, etc.

If you're not a bird person, this whole thing probably seems funny to you, starting with the product name. However, if you are a bird person, I highly recommend this product to you, especially at the Amazon/Global Pets price.

Poop-off is a great product...and it's fun to say. Seriously, I have two large parrots, two dogs, and a beautiful 14 month old baby girl. My husband and I started using poop-off on the cage grates of the African Gray's cage, but it can be used for so much more! It is safe around children and pets - not toxic like so many other cleaning products. It helps dissolve poop by using natural enzymes. Just spray it on, let it sit for a few minutes, and wipe it away with a damp paper towel. For diapers, spray it on about ten minutes before washing. It works great on cages, but also on clothes, floors, carpets, and furniture. We are a "green" family. It even helps prevent our cloth diapers from staining. It's good for more than just bird poop. Tip to remember: Never feed your parrot raspberries or the such and wear a white shirt unless you have poop-off around.

I have seven birds and spent a lot of time cleaning cages to get all that nasty poop off of them. Since I bought this my cleaning time has been cut in half. I take the cages apart , spray the poop , let it set , wipe off the residue and DONE! I will keep it in stock at all times. If you want to clean your cages quickly , efficiently and without nasty vinegar smell or worries of toxic cleaners this is the stuff to use. I have a daughter with asthma and this stuff does not even bother her and that is saying a lot.
I even used it once to clean where one of my pups had an accident and man did it clean that right out of the carpet and left NO smell behind.

Poop-Off is absolutely amazing! It cleans well on all kinds of surfaces - metal, leather, wood, cotton... It makes cleaning up after a bird an easy task.

Global Pets is a rip off. They charge an automatic $5.99 shipping fee per item shipped. Then an additional $.79 per pound. This is an absolute rip off. I tried to combine orders through Amazon but was not allowed. I ordered a 32 oz bottle of poop-off, and within 3 seconds ordered 2-gallons. I communicated all day today (1/7/08)with Global Pets. They bascially stated if you do not like it, shop somewhere else because all of our other customers do not seem to mind our shipping cost.

I will not purchase from them again. There is absolutely no excuse for this type of shipping cost!!!!

Amazon worked very closely with me to address this situation involving Global Pets. They were extremely helpful bringing closure to this matter. As you can read, Pet Solutions is now the vendor for Poop-Off. I have had wonderful dealings with Pet Solutions.

Waste of money. Fill a spray bottle with water, add a squirt of dishwashing liquid and a teaspoon or two of liquid laundry detergent that contains ENZYMES...Trust me, Cheap and it works just as well. buy your bird a toy with the money you save!

I've been using Poop-Off in my indoor aviary for a long time now. By far the most important feature of this product is its non-toxicity for my birds. I feel safe using and spraying this product inside my aviary with the birds inside - although I still try to keep it away from them as much as possible. It is also very effective - IF you let it sit and soak into the bird poop. I let it sit for approximately 10 minutes, and that will destroy even the most stubborn dried bird poop into a wet pile of goo that can be wiped up with ease. I have parrots (the worst poop!!), cockatoos and finches - it works for all. It also seems to be safe for just about any surface - I have used it on unsealed cement, wood floors, vinyl seats, leather sofa, metal, rubber mats, and even clothing. However, if you want a product that works instantly this is not the one for you. It MUST sit for several minutes to be effective.

Great for cleaning cages. Great for cleaning poop outside, inside or anywhere. Great for pet birds and for wild birds. Just pour into your spray bottle, spray the poop, let sit and wipe it up. Voila... Poops gone!
