I was looking at less expensive beanbag chairs sold by Amazon, but they all seemed to have California Prop 65 warnings, meaning the chair contains chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm.

That's not something I want my 4 year old exposed to, so I was happy to find this chair that's made in USA. The piece of mind is well worth the extra money.

The chair is very comfortable and holds its shape well. The "beans" are much larger than the tiny styrofoam pellets that were in my beanbag chair in the 70's, which is probably why the chair can maintain a shape.

This "lifestyle bean bag" chair by American Furniture Alliance is so comfortable that once I sit down in it and begin to relax myself I don't want to get back up again! It's easy in that there's nothing in the way of setup; and the vinyl can be cleaned without too much difficulty. This chair is also so soft and malleable that when you sit down into it, the shape of the chair conforms to fit your body instantly, making it remarkably comfortable. What's more, the chair can be moved around without too much effort; at less than 10 pounds you can move this from room to room pretty easily. It even comes in 3 sizes and many different colors, too.

While this is perfect for college dorms, it's great for family rooms or finished basements where you want some furniture that, if it should get slightly damaged, you won't feel too badly about it. After all, this is not exactly a classy, "fancy-shmancy" chair--this is made for fun and relaxation.

Overall, if you want a good looking fun bean bag style chair with a slightly retro look to it, stop here and look no further--this is exactly what you want! It's pretty durable and you'll enjoy it for years to come.

Ordered for 6 yr. olds. 2 chairs arrived in one package, securely wrapped, and when promised. Sturdy construction. Too much "bean" for their comfort, but beans were easily removed. Good color selections and price.

I've been looking for a comfortable (and safe) bean bag chair for my 2 1/2 year old daugther.
After reading the MANY positive reviews on this item, I thought my search had ended. For $50, this comes in a very attractive Khaki color that works VERY well with my home's decor.
The problem is in the filling. Maybe I am missing something, but when I think BEAN bag chair, I imagine that it will mold and shape to my daughter's body to ensure a comfortable sitting place.
Not so. The styrofoam (for lack of a better description) packing material inside this is not very malleable at all. Now, I thought, maybe it's because of my daughter's light weight...but again, no.
I am 195 lbs, and even I could not get this to mold comfortable to MY frame.
Nearly every review on here mentions that this DOES in fact mold to your body.
Nope.

It's a damn shame too, because the material appears to be easy to clean, and the color and size are PERFECT for our home...it is definitely not an eyesore. The problem is, what good is a good-looking bean bag chair if it is not comfortable to sit in?

So, for now, my search for the perfect, comfortable and attractive bean bag chair goes on. Maybe I was expecting too much for such a reasonable price.

I just recieved this bag from the csn store. Loved most things about it until the CA Prop 65 Warning was spotted!! The warning sticker is with an stamped date right below it: January 4,2011. Not sure if the prop65 list has been updated or what, since a previous reviewer said this item was without such a warning!

These bean bags are very sturdy and to clean one just wipes off. The grandkids love to sit on them while watching videos. Size is great too; not bulky or too huge. I have not had them that long yet but it looks like they will maintain the shape.

I returned it because it had a sticker added to the tag that said that that more or less this bean bag can cause cancer and birth defects.

I wanted to love these- really I did. They look beautiful and the size is perfect but the quality is poor, at best. I figured made in the US- these are the way to go, right? NO- POOR seam work. First, the thread used is white so any pulling of the seams is evident. Within the first 2 wks the top portion seam ripped & spilled beads- fine, I have children, figured it just needed reinforcement so I stitched it with an upholstery needle & upholstery thread. Well, that's the only place that seems to be holding tight. We have 2 in adult large & both have this same problem. Now we are going on a year of having these & lucky thing there's a refill request on the tag because they're both flat now. So I get to spend this weekend refilling these bags after taking everything out and restitching all the seams. For the money, I'm not happy. On the plus side the material still appears new (except for the popping white seams all over). These are used by kids of 60 lbs- it's not like they are getting smooshed by a large man daily.

This is a great bean bag chair. We have the XL, and it's pricey, but worth the money since it's so well made and comfortable. Our son, age, 7, primarily uses it, but my husband (over 6') and I can also use it. So, it has a wide range as far as the size of the person who can sit in it comfortably. Also, ours looks just like the picture--the chair is kind of pear shaped, so when you sit in it, your back is supported.

My husband and I wanted to get our grandson a bean bag chair, but needed it to be the khaki color so it wouldn't be an eye sore in my daughter's family room. This bean bag is really perfect for our 5 year old grandson and he loves it as well as his father, who fell asleep in it while watching TV. It's that comfortable!
