I was surprised that the book contained to stories... They were both good stories. In the first one Megan Rich was a very selfish, spoiled rich girl who had to find out on her own that family comes first all of the time.... The second story was about a NYC cop looking for a wife. He had three woman that captured his heart.... boy was he surprised by the lengths these woman would take to be his wife. Great read... Highly recomend....

As always Kiki & Noire has done it again! What better way to enjoy a 5 star book than having two of the hottest authors out there come together in 1 book! Action packed & kept me on the edge of my seat. I couldn't stop reading it!

Lifestyle of the Rich and the Shameless is actually two stories in one book. The first story is Shamelessly Rich by my girl Kiki Swinson and the second story is Puttin' Shame in the Game by Noire. (This review is my HONEST opinion and I LOVE Kiki Swinson but....here goes.)

Shamelessly Rich - Kiki Swinson

I actually give Kiki Swinson 2 (two) stars for this book and that's something I've never said about her work. Okay, in Shamelessly Rich, Maegan is a rich girl whom is spoiled by her father. She likes the thrill she gets in her bad boy, Eric. Eric is a small time dope dealer with a short temper. Eric is pretty much using Maegan because she break bread whenever he ask her to for fear that he will leave her if she don't. Maegan is buying Eric jewelry, taking him shopping and giving him money -at her dad's expense. Maegan is spending so much money, her parents threaten to cut her off. Not one to tolerate being told she couldn't have something, Maegan continues to ball out on herself and Eric. About a year pass and Maegan's parents, out the blue, cuts her completely off. This isn't good for Maegan because in order to keep Eric, she need her father money. Maegan then agrees to help Eric get money out of her father by kidnapping him and requesting ransom money from her mother and her father's accountant; no one was supposed to be hurt. Their plan goes terribly wrong when Maegan's father assistant is killed while her father is being kidnapped. When they make it to their destination, a warehouse, Maegan's father made it perfectly clear he wasn't going to cooperate with his kidnappers. Eric beats Maegan's father badly and Maegan could no longer take it and wants to call the kidnap off. Eric reveals to her father that Maegan is the master mind behind the kidnap.

Kiki's story was the best out of the two, but I struggled to push through both stories. I am not a fan of Noire, but I thought this story would be a little different. The entire time I read Noire's story all I could think about is the old movie I'm Gonna Get You Sucka smh. Kiki's story was about a rich girl who loved a bad boy and it brought her down in the end. The title really doesn't match up to the stories. Don't even waste your time buying this, if you have to read it borrow it or get it from the library.

I am a fan of Kiki Swinson and own several of her books but I am glad that I did not purchase this book. The story seemed rushed and incohesive and NONE of the characters had depth. I understand that in anthologies the writer does not have as much time to develop the story but Kiki's first anthology with Wahida Clark (Sleeping with the Enemy) was fantastic so that negates THAT theory.

As for Noire, I had stopped reading his/her books because the stories were depressing and had uncomfortable endings.....they also began to feel too familiar...i.e. I felt like I was reading the same book over and over. I was pleasantly surprised to find that neither of those problems existed in this story. It was refreshing to actually LIKE one of her characters and root for that person! I will not spoil the end, but my favorite lady was the victor :)

Overall, I was not bored but happy that I borrowed this book from the library.

Format: Paperback
Lifestyles of the Rich and Shameless by KiKi Swinson and Noire shares with readers two short stories about get-rich schemes. The main characters in these stories get themselves into some sticky situations. It is true that money can be the root of evil.

Shamelessly Rich is about Megan, a spoiled little rich kid who loves to get her way. Megan's father loves to make his daughter happy and only wants the best for her even though his wife keeps nagging him to cut Megan off. Megan's boyfriend, Eric, has other plans for Megan because Eric likes to get what he wants as well. Eric and Megan come up with a plan and once these two put their minds together no one will be safe.

Puttin' Shame In The Game is about Noble Browne, an undercover cop, who has a knack for looking for trouble. When Noble's career takes a dive, he finds himself in the middle of a three-way tug-a-war. Noble has a weakness for women and his irresistible charm has three women fighting to become Mrs. Browne. You will be surprised at what lengths women will go to get what they feel belongs to them. Can Noble stay one step ahead of them?

Lifestyle of the Rich and Shameless is about schemes that have consequences. The characters in these stories will drive readers crazy. This book does not disappoint with its fair amount of drama, suspense and excitement. Both authors provide readers with stories that flow and are consistent with the rich and shameless theme. I recommend this book to others.
