How are you gonna get better than this?, November 2, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Lifetaker (Paperback)
Well, if you're Bill Shields, you will. His "Rosey" and "Book of the Dead" are superior works; truly killer. And so this book gets forgotten in their wake. That's too bad, because this is a great mix of Shields' strong points: economic prose and poetry. There are a lot of young men and women writing today who get more than a little inspiration from Shields. This book is a perfect example of why.

Bill Shields at the top of his game., November 7, 2005
This review is from: Lifetaker (Paperback)
Does no one remember that "art is a lie we tell so others
may see the truth"? I buy anything and everything I can
get my hands on by this man. He's a literary genius.
This book is no exception. One of his best.
