Dr. Bill Gillham (1927–2011) taught psychology at Southeastern Oklahoma State University, hosted the nationally syndicated radio program Lifetime Guarantee, and spoke worldwide through Lifetime Ministries. He was also a Christian counselor, husband, and father of four.

The principles taught in this book can change your life, even if you have been a believer for years! Do you feel like you're always trying to be a better Christian and yet you keep failing? Are you striving to be holy without success? Do you see others who have that sweetness of Jesus and you want it for your life, but can't seem to figure out how to get it--even though you are truly saved? This book will show you the answers to all those questions. It truly freed me from striving to "be a better Christian" to realizing who I am already in Jesus, and understanding how God views me. Perfect book for a Bible study--it changes lives! I've given away several. Best book I've ever read for Christian growth. Very practical. Humorously written. I had no idea who God was, and what I meant to Him, until I read this book. To know that I am truly loved by God without condition, without condemnation, changed me entirely. I finally GOT what it meant to be "saved". I realize that not everyone will accept this book and will take it out of context, but if you prayerfully seek God's voice you will hear it in the pages of this book. Thank you, Mr. Gillham.

BTW, children ARE selfish. I have four, and they were all self-centered until I TAUGHT them to be otherwise. That is my job as a parent. Fortunately, as self-centered as children are, they are also most generous as well. Which one of those traits; self-centeredness or generosity, you chose to nurture will guide your child for the rest of his life.
