I came in the last after 4+ hours of paddling, while an average time was under 3 hours.

Not a problem but makes me wonder if over time it will flex more and more and create two bowls that hold water while you paddle.

I use it in lakes and rivers and it's a good stable board that is easy to balance on and perfect for beginners.

This is a great board that paddles well in almost any water. It's seriously bullet-proof since it's built with plastic and not fiberglass. You can drop it, drag it up the beach and let your kids jump on it without damaging it. I use it in lakes and rivers and it's a good stable board that is easy to balance on and perfect for beginners. I even put 5 kids on it plus myself (at 200 lbs.) and it still floated and paddled around the lake! The only thing I would not recommend on it is surfing, it's just a little heavy and bulky with the plastic construction to catch waves well. Tried to paddle surf with this board a few months back without much success, the weight/drag just made it difficult to generate enough speed to catch any waves. The twin screw in fins are also not good for surfing but do fine for straight paddling. I will be spending a little more money on a second lighter fiberglass board for surfing, but never selling this board, I just get so much use out of it. Don't spend more money on a "nicer" fiberglass board if you don't plan on surfing with it. Those boards are much more fragile and will not last as long as this board.

I purchased this paddle board from a big box store for much less than what Amazon is charging and have been using it for about 3 months now. I absolutely love that it is hard plastic. I can throw it in my truck bed and do not have to worry that I'm damaging it. My kids are pretty rough on the board and still no problems. I've paddled on calm waters as well as at the beach (Gulf of Mexico). I am 190 pounds and this board is very stable. I think the specs say that it can handle up to 220 pounds. I am very happy with this board however here are a couple things you need to know...First, the paddle that comes with it is terrible. I was digging in, paddling hard ard and it snapped in half on me. The store replaced the paddle but two weeks later the same thing happened. I went ahead and got a really nice fiberglass paddle and I'm enjoying the board even more now. Second, the removable fins are really annoying. The are difficult to adjust. That's about it. This is a great way to get into SUP!

For the price this is an excellent beginner board. It's shape (short and fat) makes it more stable than other boards I have paddled.

The specs say it supports paddlers up to 275 lbs. I think anyone over 250 would have difficulty.

Bought this from a different store for $379 with a paddle but thought all would benefit from our experience. We use it on a lake in central VA almost exclusively deep in a cove so wave action is minimal but we have paddled it out near the end of the cove where there are more waves.
The good:
1/ Very durable - made of same material kayaks are made of. It fell off the top of our golf cart with minimal damage - just dings/scratches.
2/ Very, very stable. All who try have immediate success - even my 9 and 11 year olds. Kids play on it constantly - almost play "king of the mountain" on it and get several on at once.
3/ Not a single person has fallen off while trying to paddle board (those who fall off are horsing around - see #2)
4/ Works how you expect.

Could be improved:
1/ Handles. Only one good handle at the bow/tip. To use it, you have to drag the board around on its fins. Not a good idea in my opinion. So carrying it around is done by the "handles" in the middle of the board. However, those are not deep enough to get a good grip. So this aspect is poor design. Luckily, I never have to carry it far.
2/ Nitpicky: The area where you stand in the middle of the board indents/flexes a bit more than I wish it did. Not a problem but makes me wonder if over time it will flex more and more and create two bowls that hold water while you paddle. Time will tell.

Overall, awesome board for the price.

For the price, this is a great little SUP. It has been a hit with both young and old for the two months it has been in use. Unfortunately, the young, in their enthusiasm, have managed to lose one of the fins and locking rings. FYI: They don't float. No problem I thought. LIFETIME has a customer support system. WRONG!!!! Evidently, the term LIFETIME applies to how long one must wait for a response from customer service. When a company refuses to stand up for its product, I can no longer stand up for that company. It might cost me a little more, but I will not be purchasing LIFETIME SUPs in the future. I want support both on and off the water!!!!

AUGUST 26, 2013 UPDATE: After about a month of waiting, I finally got a response from Lifetime Customer Service. They apologized for the delay in answering my question, blaming it on their being in the process of changing operating systems. I will not debate the excuse because an automatic response assigning one a case number, which came immediately, could have just as easily been reworded to include a heads-up on expected delays in actual customer service. Anyway, I guess as part of the apology, they sent me the part I was inquiring about (the fin) FREE OF CHARGE. That was totally unexpected! So there is a good chance that customer support can now offer customers immediate support. As for the product, like I stated before, for the price, it is a great little SUP. We also have a small LIFETIME kayak which has survived two summers and dozens of people ranging in ages from 5 to 60. I'm upping my rating from 3 stars to 4. Until I find out for sure the leopard has changed it spots, I will have to hold off on the fifth star.
