Must own!!!,
This review is from: Lifetime Supply of Guilt (Audio CD)
This album is a flawless piece of thrash melo-death. A true metal fan will know right off the bat this is good material (amazing vocals, catchy riffs, drums, great solos) Duskfall is NOT another generic "melo-death wannabe". They developed their own style and cranks out songs that is guaranteed to stay in your cd player for days!!!On another note for the noobs (who just got into metal or know nothing but metallica, pantera, and slayer); I just want to say that there is no set definition for melo-death metal. There are various forms such as thrash melo-death which is mostly Gothenburg bands (At The Gates, Duskfall), viking melo-death (Amon Amarth, Wintersun), to progressive melo-death (Dark Tranquilty, Opeth). There is so set definition, so stop saying which band defines it! Melo-death should not really be taken as a genre, it is more of a style. Regards, ~Metal Mo

The Duskfall have done it agin. They have released a well crafted melodic death/thrash metal album. If you are a fan of At The Gates, early In Flames, Dark Tranquility, or early Soilwork then you will not be disappointed with this effort. While I think that "Frailty" is The Duskfall's best album to date (Jan '06), "A Lifetime Supply of Guilt" has more balls, more passion, and more guts than most other albums released recently. Who needs The Haunted when we have The Duskfall?

If you are looking for high quality death thrash..similar to 'Whoracle' and 'Colony' era In Flames, then definitely check this band out. They have the sound down, and they write catchy, memorable, and heavy riffs. Their prior CD 'Source' is just as good too. There are lots of bands with this sound now...but these guys do it the best.
