Feel the vast, inexplicable appreciation of faith, joy of living, and patriotism that can be expressed through song. Durable hardcover and double loop spiral-bound construction allows for long-lasting use, flat reading, and easy page turning. With more than 50 illustrations and synopses for each song, plus an included 32-page lyric book, this collection is sure to be a welcome addition at parties, family get-togethers, sing-alongs, and other gatherings where people want to play and sing these integral American classic songs. 3.0 out of 5 stars Repackaging of 1972 Family Songbook of Faith & Joy, December 21, 2007

This review is from: Lift Every Voice and Sing: A Songbook of 150 Favorites, to Inspire, Reflect and Renew Your Soul (Hardcover)
If you are a collect Reader's Digest Songbooks - be aware that this 2005 Songbook is nearly a replica of the 1975 - Family Songbook of Faith & Joy. The original has 1 extra song - Mansion over the Hilltop.

Otherwise - I love the book and have played out of it for 30 years.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another Great Readers Digest Songbook, March 27, 2007
This review is from: Lift Every Voice and Sing: A Songbook of 150 Favorites, to Inspire, Reflect and Renew Your Soul (Hardcover)
Readers Digest has continued their long tradition of providing an exceptional songbook for vocalist and keyboard enthusiasts. I have the entire collection and recommend this one as an addition to anyone's collection who would like short, but quality arrangements of these songs.

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Lift Every Voice and Sing: A Songbook of 150 Favorites, to Inspire, Reflect and Renew Your Soul (Hardcover)
This book has both secular/religious music......just good, inspirational things for the intermediate pianist/singer.

Love those spiral songbooks from Reader's Digest! Wish all the publishers used those spirals so we could turn those pages faster.

You can't go wrong with this songbook!
