LIFT-n-LOK's unique features will provide reliable, quick and easy access to all essential tools, equipment and parts, enabling even the smallest of components to be located almost instantly. Until now the useful combination of a tool bin and drawers has resulted in a storage unit with a time consuming opening and closing sequence, these units also had the possibility of being picked up without being fully secured and spilling the contents. This frustrating occurrence is now confined to the past.

With the handle in the forward or upright position with the drawers closed, all the compartments are in the locked position. With the handle in the backward position, all the compartments are unlocked. All toolboxes need a small margin of clearance so the drawers can slide in and out smoothly. The Lift-n-Lock closes these clearance gaps when it is in one of the locked positions. This means that even the smallest item placed in one of the drawers divided sections will not be able to jump sections while the Lift-n-Lock is locked. To test this, we used beads that are about 1/16 of an inch in diameter, finishing nails, and deck screws, then placed them in the various dividers of the Lift-n-Lock. We then proceeded to shake. The outcome was amazing considering the size of the beads. There was absolutely zero contamination from one compartment to another, or divider jumping .

I use my box as a sewing box. The box I have is grey and pink. The specs for all the sizes of each drawer, the top part, and even the individual compartments can be found at their website pdysystems.com/tool_tech-info.php. I used these specs to help determine if the box would fit in the space I had alloted for it, as well as the size I had available for holding boxes of thread, bobbins, etc inside of it. The specs can be a bit misleading, however. The inside of the cover and the upper unit have angled "fins" of the same molded plastic material, I am sure for extra reinforcement. These fins take up about an inch of space inside under the handle, as well as a half-inch to inch within the upper unit part. These annoyed me, as I needed that extra space to hold thread boxes. So, little modifier that I am, I snipped them out! (There goes the warranty...) The box is now perfect for me in every way, and the strength of the box has not been affected at all. If I were using the box as a tool box and lugging it around job sites, the extra reinforcement might be needed, but not for my purposes. All of my sewing supplies are now in one box: thread, needles, scissors, etc. and all remain segregated in their own little compartments. Love it!

I was looking for something to carry several different sizes of fasteners and other hobby related items outside where I fly rockets and airplanes. The chance of a toolbox getting knocked over or dropped or just falling over on uneven ground is greater than if you are just using it in your garage or basement.
The Lift-n-Lok works exactly as it says and fits my purposes very well. Everything I need fits in it and with just one movement the entire box is locked with no chance of things moving from compartment to compartment. At first I thought the price was a little high but the old adage, "you get what you pay for" seems to fit here. This is a very high quality case. The drawers feel like they are on bearings and work very smoothly unlike most other plastic storage cases. The only drawback I can find is that the size of the diameter of the handle is too large. It would be more comfortable to carry if trhe handle were a little smaller. The reason for the size may be the locking mechanism that it operates. Great box. I'm thinking of buying another.

I use this for RC airplane parts and field equipment. The small parts dont move around when it closed. The top is nice and big for my transmitter. It holds everything neatly and secure. A+
