I was looking to set up the availability of opening the garage door this way for a while now, but hadn't found the right control that would work with my garage opener. This one is perfect. You can control multiple doors with a single remote. I have 2 garage doors, and each one is programmed with a different sequence. I can open them individually.

You can close different doors individually by pressing the corresponding key sequence, or close all the doors that are open with a single push of the enter button. It works great.

The seller was great. A click away remotes did a no hassle return after I purchased the incorrect one the first time. This one only works with Liftmaster garage openers that have the purple learn button. And it is the only one I have found. I looked around.

If unsure, go to the liftmaster website for the product compatibility charts.

Awesome product, great experience with the seller.

We used to have the key switch on the side of our garage. We recently had an alarm system installed and one of the first things the installer did was tell us to remove it. When I asked why he showed me how easy it was to just pry the switch off of the garage and short the two wires together to open the door. I'd never thought about it. He recommended we install the wireless unit here. Amazon had a good price so I ordered it. Had it installed in about two minutes. "Training" it to our garage door opener was so easy I thought I'd missed something until it worked. The security issue is enough to make this worthwhile but boy is it convenient now when we want to open the garage and don't have keys because they're in the house. Well worth the money in my book. Well, well ... after reading several reviews which basically said "often you have to enter the code twice to operate the door" I decided to purchase the item nevertheless.
The "learning" process is easy and straight forward. Follow the instructions and you are good to go. The tricky part is "everyday use" - I too ended up with having to enter the code twice now and then...
I played around with the keypad and it is actually a smart device - if only the manual would mention HOW to operate it! Ok, here are my instructions:

The door memorizes what you are doing. An example: You enter the pin code and push <Enter>. The keypad memorizes your pin number and sends an "open" command to the garage door. If you decide to close the door 2 minutes later, it will send a "close" command after you have entered the pin number and <Enter>. It sends a close command because it remembers that you just opened the door. It also remembers the pin you have entered. You could have just pushed <Enter> to close it! And just another push of <Enter> (without a pin) would open it again!
If you do nothing with the keypad for a certain amount of time (about 3 minutes), the keypad will forget the pin you entered and the status of the door (open or closed).
Now here is the problem situation: you want to ride your bicycle, so you enter the garage from inside the house, push the wired button on the wall to open the door, grab your bike, leave the garage, turn to the keypad, enter the pin number, push <Enter> and ... the keypad sends an OPEN command to an already open door. Nothing happenes.

This remote device is incredibly easy to program and install. There are two screws included with the remote for mounting. Altogether, it took me less than five minutes from opening the box to having this fully functional and installed. I use these devices when I'm outside working in the yard and need to get into the garage -- saves me having to tramp through the house. :-) Definitely a worthy investment in convenience.

I bought this to replace the opener that came with my Liftmaster 3800. It had a slide up type opener that came apart everytime I wanted to use it. Very frustrating. It took me only 5 minutes to program this and another 10 to mount it. The flip up action is what I wanted and it works just fine. My only complaint is that the keypad does not light up when you raise the flap to make it easy to read at night. It does light up when you depress the first key in your code. Other than that, it works great. If you order this, make sure your opener operates on 315Mhz.

I ordered 2 of these and they were delivered, on time and together. They both worked properly. I did return them as my idea for them wouldn't work. I wanted to leave them in vehicles that I sometimes have to park outside, so anyone breaking into the vehicle would be unable to merely push a button and open the garage. The problem is that only 1 at a time of the these keypads can be programmed to operate the same garage door opener. I would program one keypad opener and get it to work, but when I went to program the 2nd keypad opener for the same garage door it would work, but it would wipe out the first keypad code from working. I tried many different ways to do this and even asked the company for advice.

I contacted the company fairly easily and told them of my situation. I was informed that my idea would not work. The company explained how I could return them and my account was credited, less the $10 restocking fee when they received them.
