Realy works!,
This review is from: Liftmaster 379LM-10 315MHz Fingerprint Keyless Entry Pad (Misc.)
I was afraid this opener really wouldn't work as advertised, but it does. I have been using it for 6 months now without a problem. The fingerprints were easy to store and scan. Finger must be dry to work, wet fingers don't scan well.

Secure but Factory Reset invites pranks to lock you out to using this device.,

There is a secure way to keep someone from finding out your password through the grapevine and entering your garage using your keypad remote without you knowing and this is it. However, when it is necessary [OR NOT], the Factory Reset function for the fingerprint reader remote will not only clear all fingerprints/memory but it also severs the Wireless frequency connection (PAIRING)of the fingerprint reader remote to the Garage door opener.
After Full Factory Reset, the fingerprint reader remote will no longer open the garage door until you re-learn (PAIR) the device to the opener unit again. This is what you want and what you don't want. (While it locks out the intruder should they try to reset the device and enter their fingerprint to open the door, It offers the pranksters to reset this device to even lock you out and everyone else from using the fingerprint reader remote) Since it is true that you can only keep an honest person from breaking in, this device will not keep an "honest person" from locking you out resetting your device. Understand? After owning a computer with a fingerprint reader, I purchased one of these to try it despite the reviews I read that were less than 4 stars. One review stated "not the most secure, beware that an intruder could reset your fingerprint reader remote and get in assigning their fingerprint to it and erasing all others". That IS NOT true in the case of this Liftmaster 379LM-10 315MHz remote. Factory reset clears all memory of fingerprints and also the pairing with a fresh start to install again to the same opener or another opener using the same 315MHz frequency. I purchased another one of these for another garage door opener that requires this same remote after buying this first one since I discovered this. As long as it reads the fingerprints with sensitivity like my laptop does, I will remain confident to buy again and not re-review this product. It is manufactured quality with security worth a 5 star rating and I expect that there will always be a lemon in whatever you purchase especially electronic devices exposed to the weather. I also found that the instructions are written to first install the remote then program it and pair it to your opener. I made my own choice to program it first (adding fingerprints), pair it to the device and then install it permanently. Much easier and does not require two people to install. Except to add another person's fingerprint, it does require the person who first programs it to authorize and add additional fingerprints. Final - The only way to prevent someone from resetting your device would be to locate this in a discreet place where hopefully no one but those who use it would know where to find it. And that today is impossible to keep from someone who dares to do so. Hope this helps in your decision making. Take care

The 379LM-10 was easy to install. Be sure it is a match for your garage door opener. It works as advertised, however it is fairly sensitive to the way you draw your finger over the sensor. I have found that if I have my finger slightly off or twisted slightly, it doesn't recognize me. Also, it is sensitive to the speed that you draw your finger over the sensor.
Having said that, it has given us additional security to ensure that only those we have authorized can open the garage door. Once we have gotten used to it, it works fine.
