This is a great product. I was able to install in a few hours (most of the work was in hiding the wiring, not the installation itself.) I had a small space to install but it fit right in. Now I don't have the ugly old garage door opener hanging from my ceiling.
I now have a super quiet, clean installation and couldn't be happier. I love the ability to have the door close itself after a predetermined time, as well as the internet connectivity (I also purchased the My-Q internet gateway). I set it up to message me each time the door opens and am able to customize times to allow this. The app is free, no subscription required. Another bonus is the auto locking feature when the door is closed.
I will point out that I did my homework first. One common complaint with this type of opener is cable slack when the door is at the top of it's travel. I made sure to also purchase "pusher springs" so that there was adequate pressure on the cables when the door is fully open. Just buy the springs (see picture attached). They are recommended both in the instructions as well as in online forums as a reliable solution. There are some "shady" solutions out there such as loosening the tension on the torsion springs so that the door will drop under it's own weight, but that sounds dangerous to me.

I've used this opener for a month and really like it. It operates even better than I thought it would based on the description. It arrived guickly and without damage. The instruction manual was clear and easy to follow. Setup of the travel limits, force setting, remote light and controls was completed without any difficulty. I'd recommend the opener to friends and plan to get more as the other door openers fail. Two installation hints - be aware that your torsion shaft will slide into the opener much further than just the clamping collar and you don't have to drill a 3/4" hole for the door lock bolt. The largest drill I had was 1/2" which is the diameter of the bolt. By using the supplied self - stick drilling guide and a sharp center punch, I was able to get the three holes perfectly aligned. About three minutes with a rat tail file provided plenty of clearance for the bolt.

Super nice opener. I was skeptical about how this could work as there is nothing to "push" the door down. But this machine really delivers, now I am a believer. It works perfectly, flawlessly, surprised and definitely happy. I had one self inflicted minor problem but reading the section covering such in the instruction booklet solved even my slight mistake. When I need another opener I will buy this item again.

If you have a setup where this opener will work and you're even CONSIDERING buying it, I have 2 words for you: DO IT! This is one of the best purchases I have ever made in the way of home improvement, and at just under $300 it's a great deal in my opinion. I bought 2 of these units to replace a couple of older belt-drive models that were impossible to keep quiet. No amount of lubricating or adjusting the openers would keep the obnoxious squeaking & rattling from waking anyone in the 2 bedrooms which border the garage whenever the door is opened or closed. And they were $250 3/4 HP openers, so not some cheap junk units. I decided on these units for 3 reasons: 1) Free up ceiling space to install storage racks, 2) allow for remote controlling and monitoring doors, and 3) Lifetime warranty on the motor.

BEFORE BUYING you need to make sure that you have enough clearance both to the side and above where the shaft of your door is (you can mount it on either side). I've seen some homes where there is literally only a few inches of space between the door track and the wall or ceiling, and in this situations this won't work. The manual says you need at least 8" to the side of the shaft and 3" above it, but the more room the better.

I contemplated buying these for a while, with my only hesitation being the fact that I would need to run a bunch of wires to the front wall rather than using the existing opener location. It does require a power outlet at/near the front wall, and it also requires the wires for the opener switch and infrared eyes to be run to it. I was able to easily reroute the wires for the switch and eyes and run them down to the new mounting location, but I didn't really feel like doing a 120V run in the wall with a junction box, etc.

This garage door opener is fantastic. I thought I could never have an garage door opener because our garage ceiling is low and there's almost no room between the door and ceiling. When I stumbled upon this opener and checked the space requirements, I had just enough room.

Installation was easy, but will take a little while. The sensors, cable safety, lock, control panel and light kit all need placement but came with plenty of wire. The instructions were excellent overall, a few details I missed and had to redo something, but that was my fault. Read them carefully. Overall, it took me about 3 hours from start to finish.

The programming was smooth and there are a number of features I really like, including the motion detector on the control panel and the blinking light when the garage door senses an obstruction.

I don't give five stars unless something is perfect, and the few things I didn't like we're some of the screws provided were cheap and began to round out while I tightened them by hand. The cords for the opener but more importantly light are woefully short. The light lenses seems flimsy and although the wireless control of it is very cool, it's not rated for LED bulbs, which seems silly. There is concern the bulbs will interfere with the wireless control.

Overall, it's only been used for a few days but seems excellent so far. I hope it lasts a long time. I would certainly buy another and/or recommend it to a friend. There is the additional functionality of the MyQ control system for other things through the car remote or maybe phone, but I haven't found any clear cut information about how it works and it's compatibility with other home products. If anyone from the Mfr. reads this, I am interested in this expansion and linking of technology, but someone needs to create a tutorial spelling out what you can do and can't do. I would hope it could be integrated into a large whole home system.
