It couldnt have been easier:
-Press learn button...Look for light. Bam, light is on! -Hold the clicker within 30 seconds. Held it. -Listen for click, done. It clicked, instantly. Done deal. Literally 12-15 seconds

To verify this remote works with your unit, press the learn button on your overhead unit (remove the plastic light cover on the back side and look for a square button - mine is red). When you press the button the led light will light up. If yours is yellow, then this remote will work for you. I would suggest you immediately unplug and re-plug in your garage door opener to cancel the "learn" mode so that on the off chance that a neighbor is opening their garage door your door opener won't "learn" their code and start opening when they push their remote... but anyway...
Setup is as simple as that, press the learn button, then press the remote button. The unit will click and flash to let you know it is learned. Now the remote will work. The remote also comes with battery and clip to mount to your car visor.

I went to Home Depot to buy a new garage door opener. It was $35.00 and I didn't even know if it would work. I did not buy it. I came home and ordered this one on line for less than $15.00 and it works perfect. What a great savings.
