An anonymous letter threatens murder in two days time for one of the guests at a millionaire's isolated estate. A serviceable if well-used premise, but paper-thin characters, pointless red herrings and a totally implausible contrivance by the villain (when finally revealed) makes this one of the least worthy entries among Ellin's often impressive mystery stories.
