I was a huge fan of these multi-utensils when I first got them, that was until I started to use them. Every single one of them ended up snapping in half right at the middle. This happened while I was washing them, stirring soup with them, not actually using them hard. I bought these for a three month bicycle tour, and everybody else that I met on that trip that had also bought one had broken it the same way. These are not durable! I switched to a GSI Foon, and it's been great with no problems, probably due to it's lexan construction. To sum up this review, don't buy these if you need something reliable! I see that they've now released a titanium version, I may try that since they got rid of the useless knife ridges, and used a stronger material.

the only improvement that I would make on this product would be to make a left handed and a right handed spork. we are all "righties" and the position of the serrated edge is a bit of a problem if one is not careful while eating with the fork end. otherwise, a really good product to throw in the lunch bag.

Smart design and colors though the price is a bit steep, especially since they will break sooner than later. BTW, polycarbonate is specifically meant NOT to break, so this is essentially a defective (too brittle) polycarbonate. I buy these instead (and they never break): Coleman 16-Piece Polycarbonate Cutlery Set That's under $8/set if you have Prime membership.

Note that the big box department stores usually carry these sets, and the big box sport stores often carry similar, individual, high-quality polycarbonate utensils for under a buck each.

So these are lightweight which is nice, but the knife is just stupid. It should be obvious; if it was a good knife you wouldn't be putting it on the side of the fork which is put in your mouth. Still, they are lightweight and handy. The multi-colored variety pack is nice because you can keep track of YOUR spork when camping with a group.

I never found the fork part of a spork to be very useful. Now we have this Light My Fire spork, and I have to wonder why nobody thought of this before! Nearly perfect for typical backpacker meals - probably MRE's too. If you've a friend or relative "over there", send 'em one.

This utensil is nearly perfect in both form and function. Who would have thought a spork could be so aesthetically pleasing? I bring this to work with me everyday and I can't imagine a better utensil.

These LMF utensils are not titanium, so they will require a little more finese as they are used an cleaned. That being said, if they are lost, or by accident are broken, you are only out a couple of bucks.
The plastic they are made from is very durable and sturdy. Yes if you try and pry open a paint can with one it will break. However, if you cut through roast beef or other dense food, they will hold up.
They are as light as titanium. So, if you want to go light, but do not have titanium dollars, these will work. I have one that has been used for several years and I am attached to it.

These are just awesome. I have had these for years. My kids love them as well. We keep a few in the car for the just in case times as well as our camping gear. Since they are colored we can assign a color to each child and have matching plates, cups, etc and each person can be responsible for their dishes.

They hold up well to hot foods like soup, chili, mac and cheese, etc.
