My husband really liked it though so we bought him another one at a park we were at. They were the same $2.99 we paid here.
I did/do like this spork. The "spoon on opposite side of the fork" design is much better than the traditional spork design. We used them for a bunch of meals when we were camping. I just wish these weren't so flimsy. Honestly the "knife" isn't of much use but doesn't cause any problems either.
The spork consists of a fork at one end and a spoon at the other. One side of the fork part is serrated to serve as a knife. I found that it weighs sufficiently lighter than a plastic fork, knife and spoon on a ring, which I had been using before in camping, to motivate a purchase. It is comfortable to use and easy to wash.
Note that I am reviewing the full-sized spork sold individually. Light My Fire also sells 4-packs of plastic sporks, but those are smaller in size and may be considerably less durable.
This item scales in a 0.3 ounces on my scale, as Amazon claims. For 0.6 ounces, a consumer could purchase the titanium version that Light My Fire also sells. I am likely to upgrade, and I recommend all but the absolute most weight-conscious camper to consider the more durable option.
HOWEVER, if the consumer considering this item is looking for something to take along a "eurotrip" or some other adventure (and also for dayhikers) where the person is not quite as reliant on their gear as a hiker, I would recommend this spork over the titanium. I do not see a reason to spend so much money on the latter when this is almost certain all that they would need, provided they understand that this spork WILL break under enough pressure.
I do wonder if quality is dependent on whether you get a solid-colored spork or one of the translucent ones. I have found translucent plastics to be more brittle, and considering that my spork was a solid green color and felt sturdy, this may be the reason for some people's (possibly translucent) sporks not holding up as well.
This is a product I would buy again if need be, and I recommend it.

This is a great spork for EDC bags. I use it the most when my takeout comes with useless flimsy utensils, or if I brought my own soup or stew for lunch. Read morePublished 6 days ago by SBN Codey

Super idea! No fiddling around with a separate fork and spoon.. Seemed durable enough.. Just chunked in our backpacks and hit the Appalachian Trail. Held up fine.Published 19 days ago by E. T. Pimperl
This is a good, sturdy product but it's a little too big for what it is. The size makes it kind of clumsy to use, but I still recommend it as a great utensil to have around!Published 21 days ago by Jennifer Savage
