I got this book and read it very easily on the first few days of a romantic vacation with my hubby. OH my, great advice that worked instantly. After reading the first chapter I did as she said and my hubby was melted like butta'. No kidding. As far as I was concerned it had payed for itself twice by then. Many of her suggestions that I put to use took effect very quickly. I found my mate to be very responsive to her techniques....these are common sense approaches that we all should implement into life. If you truly love your husband and want to strengthen your relationship....give this book a try. Again, not earth-shaking ideas but WOW what results. Still reaping the benefits here.

A friend gave me her copy of this book, which was worn, torn and well used. It helped her 6 year relationship and I wanted my relationship to be as open and caring and trusting as theirs. So I gave it a chance. I can tell you that it has worked wonders. My relationship has changed so much over 15 months that we are not the same. We can talk about anything, no matter how petty, and it always works itself out. We are also very affectionate with each other and other couples envy us :) Get this whether you think you ahve the perfect relationship or not, because it will make it heaven on Earth.

This was wonderful. I've always been able to keep good relationships, but this made them better! I used it with my fiancee, my family, my friends, and in my management position at work. Ellen Kriedman uses several convincing stories (both personal and from her students)to help us understand the reasoning behind her suggestions for better relationships. She gives you an assignment after each section to do during the next week. Wait until you've tried the assignment! You'll be amazed! My mother bought the tapes first and then gave them to me. I thought she was being silly at first. (You know how moms can be!) Now my sister is listening to the tapes. I want my friends to listen to it also. You've got to buy it! It's not just for people in bad relationships! It will make your good relationship better and possibly be the key to making sure that you don't fall into a divorce years later like much of our society is doing now. If you've had bad luck in relationships, then you need to listen to this as well. It's awesome. Buy the cassette and listen in the car or on the headphones at the gym!

When my brother saw this book in my room he joked, "Who needs to read a book about having a relationship? Isn't it common sense what you need to do to keep your man happy?" Unfortunately, not always..... This book was a quick and easy read with some very logical advice for changing your loving habits. Although many women might already use most of the techniques described, the author offered a few original ideas, as well as the (much-needed)advice to practice these habits EVERYDAY. Keep in mind that this is a self-help book and you will only succeed if you are truly open to and ready for change. For instance, you have to really want your relationship to work and be willing to make the effort in order to gain anything from this book. Don't expect anything out-of-the-ordinary or that you will learn amazing new secrets that will make your relationship perfect. What you WILL get is honest, rational and helpful advice on how to improve your life. Of course, I am a firm believer that both people must work at a relationship in order for it to thrive, so I suggest buying 'Light Her Fire' for your mate. We women can't do it all ourselves!!!

Then this is the book for you.
This is NOT a book that teach you to be submissive or over compromising; this book teach you how to become a real woman and understanding the power of being a real woman. "Lighting his fire" is only part of the benefits you will be getting from the book. When the woman is a real woman, then the man naturally becomes a real man > its the force of nature. Ellen show you as well as walk with you onto the way to become a part of the nature. This is not a book that's filled with theories and imaginations, but the reality and the power to change. You will enjoy it, I certainly have.

Not only does this book tell you what you should do, it tells you exactly how you should do it. Kreidman suggests specific ways to acheive your goal. If you are in a relationship and feel that you have somehow lost the closeness you once shared with your partner, this is the book for you! The author teaches you to recognise how your partner is feeling and how you can react to these feelings in a way that is best for you, your partner and your relationship. Some of the suggestions can be applied to any relationship (friends, at work etc). Light His Fire emphesises that valuing yourself is as important an element of a sucessful relationship as any other and once again, Kreidman tells you exactly how you should go about doing it. This book does not tell you how to find a relationship. Also, in my opinion most of the advice is not for new relationships. If you are single this may not be the book you are looking for.

It was in "93" when I read this book. It was after I had broken up with the right guy after a yr I realized the mistake Id made. I was desperate so I said why not read this book. I couldnt put it down. I applied all the things she suggested and it worked. He was cold at first but after reading this book he fell in love with me all over again. It was only a month later that he purposed and we have now been married for six yrs. It helps and my wonderful life is proof. Thanks to Ellen for writing this book because without it I dont think I would be where I am today.

This book by Ellen Kriedman is just wonderful. It has helped me open up my eyes in my relationship with my boyfriend. I've appplied everything in the book to my relationship and it has brought nothing but happiness. We've gone to a much higher level in our relationship. This is a must for any woman who is in a relationship that they would like to improve, or become a better girlfriend, wife. The women who has taken her courses have caught themselves husbands, boyfriends, and these men have also showered these women with gifts and anything they could possibly want. But it's not getting the gifts (gifts come with his undying devotion for you) that this book teaches, it teaches how to have a lifetime love affair filled with romance and passion with your one and only true man. It also has these really fun assignments and it is also fun to read. You won't be disappointed

I bought this book for my wife to help improve the romance of our marriage but decided to read it for myself first. Take it from a man's perspective, this book is dead-on and even enlightened me about why I respond to my wife's mannerisms in certain ways.

Once my wife got hold of the book, she started practicing some of the concepts and things are taking off. Full of practical and relatively simple tips, you will never regret the time spent reading this - and may find yourself constantly referring to it in the future! Way to go Ellen!

I sat up all night readig this book. It is incredible. I am ordering a copy for both my married sisters. I can't think of a better present than to insure that they will all be lighting their husbands' fires forever. Before purchasing this book, I read every single review and I found it interesting that the only negative one was from a man, who obviously has not bothered to read this book or is jealous of evey man who would be lucky enough to have a woman who has read this book. Instead of sticking his nose where it doesn't belong, he should be reading the companion book, "Light Her Fire." That and a little anger management would go a long way!
