After reading Soon Will Come the Light, I looked for a copy of Light on the Horizon. I was dismayed to find that it was out of print. However, I kept looking, and eventually, I was lucky enough to be able to purchase a used copy. What a treasure I have found! I smiled the whole way through the book.
Thomas has such a warm, personal, writing style. He makes you feel as if you are reading letters from a friend. I adored his wit and sense of humor!
And, if that weren't enough, the insights were amazing. I found it hard to believe that this book was published nearly 10 years ago. Some of the ideas put forth were way ahead of their time. Thomas definitely had a vision! I find it very difficult to believe that this book is out of print. I sincerely believe that a second edition should be printed!
Keep looking for this book. You won't be sorry!

Loved it!, September 6, 2006

Mr. McKean has a personal story to tell and he does it so beautifully. This is a wonderful book-the story of one man's journey with Autism. The author is honest in his writings. His experiences will make you smile, laugh, and cry. As the parent of a child on the autism spectrum, I appreciate how Mr. McKean so clearly allows us a glimpse into *his world*. I personally would love to see more books by this author.
