Great resource for painting students,
By BooksAndLibros "library mouse" (IA USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Light: How to See It, How to Paint It (Paperback)
The book cover indicates "it is an excellent resource if you have trouble capturing the mood and the beauty of light in your paintings. The author shows you how to see light, add drama, life, and energy to every painting subject." Among the specific topics you can learn with this book, are tone and light, color and light, shadows and reflected light, outdoor light, indoor light. Book chapters help you evaluate light in terms of tonal value, use color to create dazzling impressions of light, tackle the problems of recording the transient effects of outdoor light, control the light to the best effect when painting indoors, paint shadows and reflected light in order to create depth, form, and luminosity. There is a profusion of illustrations in color, most of them contemporary paintings that remind the impressionism art movement born in the 19th century in France.

This review is from: Light: How to See It, How to Paint It (Hardcover)
This is the second time in recent days, that I purchased a book at the low end of the price range, only to not receive it. Then when I look again, after finding out it isn't coming, that ALL the prices were raised on the book.
